A good non-alcoholic dark choco ice cweammm WHUTT?! ATTACCKED by the whiff of waffle scent! The $9 double-scooped gelato doesn’t melt easy! This means its fresh~ Its not too sweet even for biccoff flavour, but dark chocolate was definitely down our alley! Will definitely be back if in the area~ Also this place opens till 2am , what a gem ✨

Meh gelato croissant $9.80 for croissant, a scoop of ice cream, a cookie, and whipped cream/choc sauce. Nice presentation but can't say it's worth it in terms of flavour.

burpple 1-for-1 had the satay chicken & spicy chicken wraps with burpple 1-for-1. when i went there were only these 2 options available (no sandwiches or beef), but at a total price of $12 for 2 sets, it's an absolute steal! the chicken was flavourful and the nacho chips were highly addictive. the cafe is small but rather cozy, with neon light decorations adding to the ambience. would definitely recommend checking it out especially with the 1-for-1 deal!

Disappointing, overpriced Visited a few weeks ago and was declined burpple beyond 1 for 1 for most dishes - claims that burpple isnt updated. Sure, ordered full price anyway - the XXL jumbo hokkien mee and truffle wanton mee. Jumbo hokkien mee had no wok hei at all, the prawns were meh, whole dish was kinda mushy. Truffle wanton mee had no flavour except for the overwhelming smell of truffle oil - guess the 2 fried wanton on top was nice. Better off going to any hawker centre for much better food for a much lower price. Also waited for almost an hour even though there were no one around, though I could see the chefs? coming in and out the kitchen with their own food for themselves while we were waiting in hunger ):

From their Wanton Mee But Better ($8) upgraded with shrimp wanton and black truffle, to their Braised Minced Pork Ramen ($9), this bowl of goodness sees 12 hours braised pork cooked to tender perfection, prawn wanton, potato shrimp with ebiko and onsen egg. Try their Squid Ink Prawn Noodles ($11), which was "definitely a signature! It made your wet Hokkien mee even more slurpy with infusion of unami flavour" according to Burppler Iris Lim.

The pig skin came soft, which was nice, but hardened soon. The pork was good despite the absence of fats. Avoid the bread as it's not crispy and more like French toast.

Yangnyeom Gejang Lunch Set ($23) Each set comes with your choice of a mini kimchi stew or soybean paste stew. Compared to others I've had, the crab meat was softer and break apart easily. I kind of feel that the spicy marinate overpowered the pure taste of the crab meat and it was missing the creamy roe. The kimchi stew was rich, spicy and savory that was warm and comforting, especially when it was raining outside.

Birria Beef Taco Had a great catch-up with friends over tacos at Afterwit! Loved my order of Birria Beef Taco ($20). Beefy, cheesy, oh-so-juicy and a tinge tangy-sweet with the salsa. Generously filled with well-seasoned meat and melted mozzarella, the charcoal tortillas (said to be prepared fresh daily) were pretty nifty to pick up as well - holding the moist filling nicely and providing tender-chewy bites though tbh I still made quite a mess. The lamb consomme served on the side was delightfully umami too, giving the comforting meat flavours a boost.

birria tacos this was really good!! i got the beef option (you can also choose lamb or chicken) and they gave a pretty decent amount of beef (although its not really obvious in the picture). also served with lamb consomme which was the ✨highlight✨ to me because it was made so well and so flavourful! the shop itself also had really nice and rustic vibes 🤩🤩

🌟 Delicious Soft Shell Tacos 🌟 Soft shell tacos usually aren't up my alley but in this case I didn't mind. On the pricier end for tacos at $15 for 2 but they were filling and well worth the pricetag imo. My friend ordered this for me as a takeaway and they were generously filled with pulled beef and cheese, just the right amount of savory and spicy. The whole dish is an umami explosion, in a good way, and I found it funny that they included quail eggs—a first for me, but they didn't really do anything flavor wise. It is served with some soft onions on the side and tomato purée in which I enjoyed dipping my tacos in. My only complaint...... This was a takeaway and the dish, overflowing with gravy and meat is incredibly messy to eat. I really wish they provided cutlery without being asked because I had to eat this in a public work area and I just hope to god no one saw me while I was eating this. They did provide 4 napkins along with the order however, which I found myself needing for the meal.

Seafood Paella 10nett (Clarke Quay FEASTival) Quite a generous portion but unfortunately the rice was really dry though it was soft. We didn't get any of the crispy goodness at the bottom of the pan either. At least the small chunks of squid and chicken were OK and the prawn was quite fresh

OverEasy🍔 Went to OverEasy late Jan and got the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger ($25), the 'To-Die-For' Burger ($27) and an Oreo Milkshake ($14)!😇 Portions were pretty generous! Unagi Linguine Mala unagi linguine ($14) XO King prawn linguine ($14.95) ⭐️ 3/5 ⭐️ 🍴Affordable lunch bowls averaging $15 at this cosy restaurant in the CBD. Flavour-wise, the pastas were enjoyable with their unique Asian twist on a classic Italian dish. The mala was fragrant with a good level of spicy kick, while the XO prawn was rich in umami notes. The seafood was also well-marinated and fresh, and we enjoyed the soft and tender unagi, and juicy king prawns. While the pasta was nicely al-dente, we found the texture to be slightly strange - almost more starchy (sticks to the teeth) and floury. Truffle Fries Pipping hot, the Truffle Fries ($12) were good too. Thicker than shoestring fries, their rendition was rather addictive. The golden-brown exterior stayed wondrously crisp, and the grated Parmesan cheese is always a plus on well-seasoned fries. Though I could only wish that the portion was bigger.

Wagyu Gold Mash The new restrictions are a real downer but that also means more options and opportunities to order in. Hence, with my recent visit to Beurre over lunch, I definitely see myself ordering their Wagyu Gold Mash ($18) again. Served with a savoury black pepper sauce on the side, the medium-rare wagyu steak was succulent and juicy. The protein was also nicely seasoned and well-executed, pretty decent for the price point. Sitting below the thick, hearty slices were glorious Yukon gold mashed potatoes. The silken mash was perfectly buttery and creamy - went exceptionally well with the meaty flavour of the wagyu.
