Really impressed esp with the latter which used pork belly as its roast but wasn't too fatty. The roasts were also so flavourful that there's no need for the extra topping of the sweet dark sauce on the side.
It was a nice sinful lunch and the best part of it was really discovering this shop at the back valley of boon keng and lunching with dad as he shared the shop's history with me.
Probably my favourite dish at the newly located UNA at The Alkaff Mansion
The cakes here are yummy and absolutely loved the Asian-nonya flavours!
Both Tequila Pecan Pie and Braised Pineapple were delicious
Corn sample, guacamole, Mexican cocktails, fish tacos and el mero mero fajitas were all pretty and yummy!
This was my favourite dish from lunch. Slices of apples were used for the fritters which was crispy fried and came with a delicious cinnamon coating.
We managed to sample all three starters available on the set lunch - potato leek, waldorf salad and frieda salad
Another highlight for me here - the nicely brined seabass paired with nori cream pasta. The radish and tobiko were meant to offset the creaminess of the pasta but I felt worked better to provide a nice crunch to this dish!
