Its restaurant week menu is a good taster to its offerings and we liked it enough to get an additional crispy salmon maki roll!
The restaurant week menu consisted of aburi nigiri (hotate and salmon), hamachi cappacio and homemade seafood tofu, salmon somen and smoked striploin steak and ending off with coconut ice cream and ikura.
We know we have been here too often when we have difficulty finding new items to try and ended up sticking to favourites like Joo loaded fries and Flaming chicken!
My go-to lunch whenever I need to eat-in and always a source of comfort - soupy dish in cold office!
Trying restaurant week after a long (maybe 5 years?) hiatus and was definitely glad to be doing so at this 3-month old restaurant. Great dishes, warm hospitality and really good happy hour promos. Will definitely be back again!
For the restaurant week menu, we had purple cabbage with lotus root, tortellini with chicken, pork in butter mash, wagyu beef and ending off with peanut butter tart
That we gobbled down in 30 mins to make it for a show! I loved how the dishes tasted just like home cooked food, and indeed, the stewed / braised meats were so tender that it felt like they were slow cooked for one entire day.
Was amused by the first (Tiger's Milk) which looked like an SG emblem, refreshed by the second which was sorbet like with various citrus elements and enjoyed the last which was simply churros done well with a hazelnut choco dip
Definitely well done dishes, and at good value portions.
I liked how the anchovies were pureed and spread evenly on the bread. Its not fishy or salty, contrary to my perceived notion. Definitely a hearty dish, perhaps too hearty cos it was the 2nd dish and we were already full by it
Turned out to be a surprsingly light dessert!
Intended to be bite size, and definitely packed a punch with wasabi cream and spice marinated pork!
I like my toro sashimi style, but this grilled rendition is still a nice alternative
Simply comprised of fresh vegetables and tempura mushrooms with goji seeds for sweetness. Tasty without a need for a dressing
