Piping hot beef wrap with smooth chocolatey mocha - great way to start day. Glad I took the time to look for the cafe (which is right behind Park Royal Hotel)
Nice place - not too fancy or shabby - just right for informal get together. The steak is done just right and I chose the best stout I have ever tried - Konrad's, a Russian stout.
Situated in the Bras Basah area, The Betterfield offers truly fine dining quality fare in a relaxed bistro setting. The kitchen is helmed by a chef who has former experience working in several hotel and restaurant kitchens, and the years of experience is evident in the sheer quality of the food served. Try their brunch options such as Eggs Benedict, or their finger food options like truffle fries and their awesome Secret Thai Chilli Chicken. For mains, go for the Duck Confit and the Black Angus Ribeye, which are irresistibly affordable at just $20 nett, yet taste better than equivalents which cost double elsewhere. This place is a true gem!

The casual atmosphere at this New American gastropub certainly will put you at ease despite some unfamiliar dishes on their seasonally-changing menu. Rachel tells us more about this exceptional foie gras dish: "Inspired by a certain dish in US which he tasted then to be "the best thing I've had", this is what executive chef Benjamin declares to be the usurper of that title. I can see why - the strange combination of melt-in-the-mouth foie gras on crisp toasted brioche works surprisingly and superbly well with sweet elements of dark chocolate ganache and mashed bananas, crunchy granola crumbs and smokey bacon jam. I don't know if this is THE best thing I've ever had, but it certainly ranks among the top and for a non-foie gras fan like me, that's saying a lot."
Burpplers love the larger, relaxed sister space of Lola's Cafe at Pasir Panjang! Go for the popular honey paprika wings and a simple brunch.

Together, the wasabi sprout and wasabi-laced sour cream dressing grab that laidback smoked salmon and take it on a wild, giddy trip of freshly aromatic, mustardy yumminess. No prizes for guessing what is my new favourite sandwich here :)
A highly recommended place for Teo Chew porridge in the Kovan area, Ah Seah's is known for being value-for-money. Bring a bunch of friends and sit around a full table of steamed fish, braised duck and steamed egg.
Just a five minute cab ride away from most of this islands' nightspots, Outram Ya Hua is the perfect place for post-party supper fare. Nothing brings you back to life better than a hot bowl of tasty, peppery soup after a long night out. They're open till four in the morning, so no excuses!
