The Pandan Gula Melaka slice (smaller version of their slice of cake) had a fragrant Pandan base with a cake-like texture. The gula melaka was not too cloyingly sweet and was finished perfectly with a strong fresh grated coconut taste.

Paired perfectly with a rather robust Americano, it was the perfect way to spend tea-time in the quaint cafe. Their Signature D.r Joe 1914 comes highly recommended too.

Citrus-crusted Barramundi with Paella Rice and Roasted Cauliflower.

Omega-3 in the Barramundi, Nutrients soaked in by the Paella Rice and a dose (need more here!) of Cauliflower fibre.

Opted for citrus-crust and accepted the extra kcals versus the Harissa version. Skipped the sauces and thoroughly enjoyed the Heart-healthy wholesome meal.

So the next time you're out for a meal, remember, you always have a choice for the most Nutrient-vs-calorie dense option.

Whatever choices you make, accept it, embrace it and move on!

Though more a crepe, than a wrap, this egg batter 'wrap' conceals deliciously crunchy peanut butter. Crepe-like egg batter, Peanut Butter? Genius.

I'm not one for snacks but this is definitely my idea of tea-time (though I Never get tea) 💙.
My only gripe is that the wrap disappears in under 5 minutes. WHY?! 😩

Starbucks Christmas Promotional item: Tuna Shepard's Pie ($6.20) was exactly what you would expect it to be. Hearty mix of Tuna, sweetcorn, sliced carrots and peas encased in Starbucks buttery pie crust and topped off with a layer of mashed potatoes.

I enjoyed the light teatime treat as the pie was warm and comforting yet not too filling. Since Starbucks changed their deep dish beef pie to have potatoes > cheese, I don't have a pie to go to anymore and see myself visiting them less. Now with this pie in the options, I might be more regular.... Pie to Price ratio though, rather steep to be having too often.

New unassuming stall found at the basement of Our Tampines Hub.

For a stall titled 'Breadwerkz', there was hardly any bread.
It was however filled with sweet treats ranging from mini Ondeh Ondeh balls to chocolate brownies and ganaches. Mix & Match for a decent price to try them bite-sized OR just go full-blown and get a whole family-sized portion!

This pandan chiffon roll was filled generously with decadent Hazelnut chocolate Nutella spread. 😍
I love Pandan flavor and who can not love Nutella? This was a beautiful marriage of taste for me.
$9.80 for a whole cake which could amount for 10-12 slices. Unless you're me, and a portion requires 1/4 of the loaf 🤭.

First stab at Rocky Master and happened to be their re-opening of the Technopark outlet.

Spin and Win got us a Devil's Latte and we also grabbed the Devil's Brew 1-for-1 offer. Coffee was decent (slightly watered Americano style - atypical of what you would term 'Devil'). Since it was @wiyadali birthday, they kindly served a complimentary Lemon Meringue tart which was rather good. Right amount of sweet & tart combination 👌. Prawn Laksa was not on point on that day (according to Wiyadali). The sliders were really small but had a good gamey taste in the beef patties. We added $2 to upgrade the fries to truffle - pretty good - served with cheese, the fries had a light truffle smokey flavor.

Great ambience especially for an morning cup or an afternoon tea-time. Plenty of options and the staff are always receiving, friendly and quick to offer suggestions. 👍

Starbucks Christmas launch 2018 includes a butter chicken pie and a tuna Shepard's pie among others.

Recommended by the barista so gave it a go...
The top layers were buttery and flaky, toasted till crisp, it had a cheese-like exterior which complemented the butter chicken fillings well.
The butter chicken itself had a strong taste, reminiscent to the butter chicken in Indian/ Malay stalls with the addition of chunks of potato.
One thing to love is the Pandan flavored casing which packaged the whole pie with a solid note.

Starbucks earlier on this year had dished out a Chicken Laksa pie. Their ambitious-ness in re-creating these local delicacies into pies have proven to be quite a Win 👍.

Not sure which Christmas dish a butter chicken pie is but give it a go and you might just find it nice, and have it in place of your rice! 😜

Unassumingly good. Swee Heng does decent sliced cakes with a good proportion of cream inside.

I like the modest Pandan flavor but the Apple Cinnamon fared better, with chunks of sweetened Apples amidst the Cinnamon cream. The Chiffon-like rolls are Fluffy yet aptly firm to eat in bites. Their Wholemeal and Charcoal options provides healthier alternatives for great afternoon snacks or just that sweet treat 😉. Priced at $1.80 a roll, they're bigger than the Polar Swiss Rolls and would be sufficient for a snack to tie you over temporarily. @sweehengsg is now in FairPrice! So you can not only get your fix at their outlets, but can grab their bakes in NTUC Supermarkets as well!

A creative Halloween special dessert aptly named.
Chocolate batter chiffon cake with a milk chocolate and almond shell, topped with a 'Bat' made out of Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate eyes and Milk Chocolate wings.
This simple, delightful cake would appeal to the young ones as it has high visual appeal. Pretty to look at but a simple cake at most. Eat it quickly as the chocolate tends to melt!
I enjoyed devouring it, but not at the price tag of $6.50. Tried & tasted! Recommended for Insta-worthy photos and kiddos!

Especially with a pairing like this 😋! . @coffeebeansg Nitro Cold Brew was very smooth and is one of the better Nitro Cold Brews out there. Paired with their Strawberry Yuzu Mousse Cake (one of their best sellers) which was sufficiently sweet, layered with soft sponge and hits all the right notes for a light teatime treat 💕.
