My friends ordered this plate of Salted Egg Chicken Wings to share which i would describe as: 1. Completely drenched in salted egg goodness
2. Fried to crisp perfection
3. Left over salted egg sauce went well as a dip for spam fries

The only thing missing was mantou. Lol!

I would totally recommend this dish for anyone who is still into the whole Salted Egg trend or just enjoys a yummy plate of wings!

I decided to go with the Pork Pomodoro Penne since the pesto truffle based pasta was sold out. I dived right into my meal once the food arrived since I was starving!
The texture of the penne was al dante, the pasta sauce tasted really watered down. The only saving grace was the pork belly which tasted really fragrant though I would have preferred the skin being crunchy like "siew yok". Overall, I think u can pop-by this place for an afternoon coffee with your friends or maybe a beer since they have happy hour prices at $8/bottle. #throwback to the Bak Kut Teh special set meal I had at @eightcafebar .

It was an interesting dish to serve considering the face that the rest of the menu was mainly western food. I paid around $24.90++ for 1 soup, 1 main, 1 dessert.

Pretty good deal I should say. I read many good reviews of their other western dishes and boy should I have just stuck to ordering one of their western dishes than this bak kut teh.

The sauce aka soup wasn't as thick or dry as I expected it to be, since I ordered the dry version. Also, the meat didn't have a strong bak kut teh flavour. It tasted more like it was cooked in a pressure cooker to soften the meat and the gravy was just poured over it. I had to ask for dark soy sauce and Chilli padi to make the taste more flavourful.

FYI, I don't have strong taste buds but this was pretty bland to me.

Overall, I'll give this a 5/10. Just stick to their other western or brunch dishes to be on the safe side.

However I was in for a pleasant surprise! The meat was soft, tender and full of flavour. I was surprised how easily I could cut through the beef with A BUTTER KNIFE! 🍴Can you believe it? That's how soft the meat was. I really enjoyed how the mash potatoes on the side complemented the whole dish together with the flavourful brown sauce. The only downside to this dish was me being unable to finish the whole piece of meat on my own. 😅Hahaha! I'd recommend sharing their main courses as the serving portion is pretty huge, unless well, either you've a huge appetite or you're just feeling greedy (like me). 😝

Being voracious when it comes to Chirashi Don's, this small bowl didn't satisfy my one-bowl-is-never-enough craving! 🍚 I held this bowl with one hand and used my iphone to snap the photo. And that, my dear friends, is the size of a regular size bowl. 😑 Alright, back to the main point of this review, the food. The Sake was fresh, rice a bit too dry at the top, and the overload of sauce at the bottom of the bowl brought my lunch to a salty close. 😵 Will I ever go back for lunch?
