love the coffee! Their axel grind in house blend is really good and the coffee is not over-extracted with good flavour notes.

Matcha Latte Didn't managed to order Matcha Croissant on last Fri. Matcha Latte ($6.50) was quite good for me as it's not that thick and need to stir throughout the drink to avoid matcha powder sink into bottom of the drink.

Chicken Garam Masala And Mushroom Somen Meat was tender and juicy; spice mix on point. The mushroom somen ($6) was a meal on its own - sauce is very flavourful; somen soft and tender.

Polenta Crepe And Vegetable Medley ($22++) Vegetables were bursting with flavour. It was very filling; staff very attentive.

For 1-for-1 Main Dish (save ~$25) Heads up, fans of funky fare! This diner doles out mains with a modern twist on old comforts. Take the Braised Beef Meatballs ($25) served with herb celeriac, wood ear fungus and lemon sauce for a tangy finish! Their Garam Masala Chicken Drumsticks ($24) is reminiscent of tandoori chicken with the fresh spices and herbs. Truffle Angelhair Pasta ($38++) A chilled capellini creation adorned with creamy uni, clean tender sliced scallop, marinated ikura, and a sprinkle of truffle and spring onion. The al dente noodles provided a satisfying bite, although the dish leaned slightly towards dryness. The flavours, while enjoyable, could have been bolder.

Monkfish Liver ($14.80++) A delightful appetiser featuring natural, fine, creamy, and sweet monkfish liver. The smooth cut showcased the richness of flavours, making it a delightful start to the meal.

Chawanmushi ($6.80++) A classic steamed egg custard dish, light and airy, with various ingredients providing a comforting blend of textures and flavours.

Salmon Sashimi (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) These insanely thick-cut slabs (or chunks, for that matter) will set you back for $16 a plate, but the rich fattiness and melt-in-the-mouth texture of the fresh salmon slices was to die for! The sweet mirin/soy sauce marinate makes it even more decadent though it can get quite surfeiting due to the thickness, so it's best shared with your friends!⁣

Chicken Curry Katsu (⭐️⭐️⭐️) The Chicken Katsu Curry is also decent with a crispy chicken cutlet and robust curry sauce, though a larger portion & more veggies other than the sad carrot smidgens would have made the dish even better.

Mentai Don (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Can't go wrong with their Salmon Mentaiko Don either! The salmon slices were well seared on the outside while slightly raw on the underside, and the smoky char on the mentaiko sauce elevated the umami flavours.

Ice Cream + Waffles Finally tried their best selling ice cream flavour (salted butterscotch) one last time again before they closed down permanently + valrhona chocolate ($8) + waffles ($4) last time I have tried with my mum and sister after covid phase 2 where they r dine in. I think that salted butterscotch really so good, savoury and salty taste and taste remaines as same throughout the years. But valrhona chocolate just jelak for me tbh, milky, creamy and bitter taste and also thick texture and still complemented well with salted butterscotch. Waffles I think that they just overcooked (slightly hard to cut down) and got a bit of "char" edge 🥲. It turned soggy once ice cream melted it off towards the end.

Laksa Cheese Fries ($14) Fries topped with laksa gravy, runny egg, oozy mozzarella, prawns and fried beancurd strips .

Golden Sand Chicken & Waffle ($20) Creamery butter sauce coated Southern fried chicken served with crisp buttermilk waffle and topped with golden sand .

The Beast Nasi Lemak Burger ($22) Southern fried chicken thigh smothered with house-made sambal topped with a runny egg, sandwiched between deep fried fragrant coconut rice “buns”, served with a side of luncheon meat fries .

Beef rendang ($25) 🐄 8/10 If you're looking for authentic and delicious peranakan food, look no further than @the.blueginger . I obviously have a palate inclined towards western flavours. However I was still extremely impressed by the meal! The rendang here is braised for hours and mixed with a sauce rich in ginger, lemongrass, and lime leaf. But what was special was how thick and creamy and coconut-forward the actual rendang was!

Ayam panggang ($16) 🍛 10/10 They really know how to handle their meats here because they turned this unassuming chicken thigh into one of my favourites of the meal. The skin was crispy and the meat so tender! The creamy smokeiness of the sauce will win over even the most stubborn of picky eaters. A dark horse but a crowd favourite in the end.

Ikan goreng cili garam ($22) 🐟 5/10 I'm usually a fan of this style of fish because well... I like little chunks of deep fried meat. But the fish here was way too dry. What a letdown.

10/10 vibes We read good things about the fish and chips. However, it turned out that the pork ribs and duck confit were better. The vibes, live music & service provided by the restaurant were great. We would highly recommend this restaurant to families and couples who wish to have a great time, especially if cocktails are your thing! Food: 7/10 Vibes: 9/10

Amazing 3 Course Dinner Set The 3 course dinner set was amazing and super value for money with burpple 1-for-1 ($60). Started with the Spanish octopus which was perfectly cooked. We got the lamb shank and pork for mains. There was also a complimentary birthday dessert on top of the 2 desserts we alr have. Overall it was a pleasant experience as we had a very hearty meal.

Kopi 'O' Dessert I went to Porta a month ago, but his dessert sometimes still will pop in my mind...very addictive dessert😆

3 Course Meal @ $62 (Burpple 1 For 1) We had fried oysters and Spanish octopus for our appetizers, followed by porta burger and fillet mignon for our mains. We ended off the night with our desserts - Pecan cake with ice cream and Black Forest. They gave us an complimentary birthday cake as it was my friend birthday! The service was really great and the ambience is chill. This place is located in Park Hotel, it is overall great for a nights out! With the deal, it was double the worth! Price: $62 for 2 pax Rating: 7/10

Glass Onion Rings ($9.90) Must order!!! Onion rings are sliced thinly and fried in crispy batter. The mystery sauce that accompanies it is so good. My friend and I finished it before the mains came 😂 I wouldn’t mind coming back just to have these onion rings 🥺 Highly addictive!

Wagyu Outskirt ($29.90) Good portion for ladies but might not be enough for big eaters. The sauce matches well with the steak and the sides are decent. Worth it with Burpple one-for-one deal. Cafe was quiet even during lunch hours despite being in town - hopefully more people will show their support!

Overall is good Know this restaurant from burpple. Two rib eyes inclusive GST is S$30 which is quite worth. Food is no bad. Worth to try out~
