The 3-course set lunch is $45++. Food is more interesting than awesome. If you love to dine communally, find time to visit. Improvement aplenty needed for the partial and unpolished service.

Cozy place with decent don sets and ramen. Here you see the Teriyaki Chicken Don and Spicy Ramen. Both items are on promo right now and total bill for these 2 items came up to about $22. They offer complimentary tea😋

At $28, the price is indeed jaw dropping, compared to what your regular kopitiam uncle charges. But what's truly jaw dropping is the amount of fresh seafood & the luxurious broth the noodles are simmered in. This may be a well respected order from CreatureS, but I personally would urge you to try their other stuff that I like to think are equally good, or if not better!

Btw, this is only available on Fridays, weekends & public holidays.

The Clover Fukusen Roll - Everything I love in a bite! The foie gras & the whole combi literally melts in your mouth. Get your love bite at $27.80.

Previously occupied by a pizzeria, this space just by the junction along Zion Road is now replaced & renovated as Applause. Here we have the Maryland Crab Cakes at $24. The other order on our table was the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, where we got a choice of 2 sides to go along. Food presentation is simple. Taste is average; regrettably amateurish. It was not as unforgettable as I wished it would be. The bill without drinks (they do serve water) or desserts was slightly above $50.

P.S. by the way, my title is their tagline...can't say I can applaud to that...

Very fresh. Nicely prepared. Decently priced at $8.

This seafood timbale is so well put together; a sublime combi indeed. It's on their specials menu so go soon if you don't wish to miss it!

$9 for a tart this tiny, it's not longer just about watching your waistline! Tried the Hojicha Creme Brulee tart & the Pistachio Frangipane tart (as shown here). A small price to pay if your dreams haven't been so sweet lately.

The grilled octopus is simply divine! This salad was one of the choices from the set lunch deal available from Mondays thru Fridays. The 3-course is 50++, coupled with a great view of MBS if seated by the windows.

So lucky to dine at Chikuyotei today. Got to savour a multi-course of Japanese dishes, prepared the haute cuisine way. There have been much talk of the grilled unagi here & it didn't disappoint. Not much of a unagi fan to be honest, but it arrived too perfectly grilled to pass. The others along the course were stars in their own way...melt-in-the-mouth otoro & chewy needle fish sashimi were oh so memorable! The course changes seasonally but one can be assured of great quality here. It was a luxurious lunch at about $140 per pax but definitely well worth the splurge!

Enjoying a good lunch for at good cause. The good people at Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut will donate 50cents to the disable society for each photo share! The bebek goreng (duck) here is sedap; crispy but not oily & not to mention, the chilli here packs a punch! Service here was great too despite the peak lunch hour. Here's the Asian version of Duck Confit😊

Food here is still good. Say hello to the holy-moly Kale Salad. You will still enjoy this even if you don't eat your veggies. Other favorites for me include the Crab Cake, Little Neck Clam Chowder & the all-time must-have Tuna Tartare. Don't forget the Southern Ice Tea & Key Lime Pie. Be sure to put this place on your bucket list.
