Collins has been one of our fav place to have quality western food with very affordable prices. The mixed Grille @$20 has succulent, juicy chicken chop, pork sausage, kabana pork sausage served with a good helping of seasonal vegetables, potato au gratin. It was so much for us that we need to dapau the left over home. The potato au gratin is a great surprise, as it has a nice crust outside while the inside is filled with a buttery paste of smooth potato that leaves a nice fragrance in your pallette. Opened by Teppei, this is a japanese Chopped salad place in Singapore. The chopped salad allows one to eat the salad easily with a spoon. Kinda convenient and fun. The premium beef taking @$14.80 is quite worth it. Just right for the two of us. We did not try the rest but the beef is all right, tender but not flavourful enough for me. Btw, this place does not open during weekends. So we are lucky to try it when taking a break from work. It's one of those place who like to go - without the huge crowd and you enjoy some great peace and quiet and good service.

If you have not been here before, you will be surprised to see a snaking queue that never ends anytime you come here. Here, there is no fried fish, there is no milk in your soup. You get nothing but the freshest goodness from a bowl of sliced fish with additional ingredients you can opt to add like ba chor ( minced meat), fish roe, bittergourd, fish maw etc. The extra ranges from $0.5 to $1, which makes it really affordable. Rain or shine, a bowl of simple teochew fish soup brings lots of comfort for many. Be prepared to wait for 30mins or.more, depending on the time you are here. I see they have expanded the crew and there are 2 more helpers. Asked the owner son why they are not expanding, he mentioned that he wants to ensure the quality of his food. He personally sliced his fish in the wee hours of the morning. Each fish is thick and generous. Hence, you feel the shiokness indeed.

Going for the 1 for 1 deal . Only available on weekdays. There is a choice of their high tea set from 3-5pm, also 1 for 1, but on selected stuff. Overall, it depends on what u what to eat, the mixed is not part of the high tea deal though.

Loved their chocolate dessert here. The dessert is warm and matches so well with the cold chocolate ice cream. If you done here, you get the natural light coming in as well. Loved the ambience as you relax and watch the crowd go by. What an enjoyable afternoon high tea without breaking the bank!

If you like your soup hot and peppery, you will like Rong Hua BKT. The burpple 1 for 1 set is a good deal. The pork is so tender it slides off easily and pairs so well with the dark sauce. The lemon chicken has a quite nice crunch too, and goes well with the side lemon flavoured sauce. Overall, great service with a smile. The staff keeps coming back to refill our soup for free. Well done! Leaving satisfied!!
