For an upmarket Indonesian warung experience, Kota88 is the perfect place to go! The portions are large and value for money (paid < $30 for 2 mains and a drink), and perfect for families.
The nasi campur was delicious with fresh ingredients. The satay stock in particular was impressively flavourful and well-marinated.
Super yummy authentic boat noodles - you get to pick beef or pork as your protein, and the 2 broths for each also taste quite different. Broths are both on the sweeter side though and are not spicy, but you get to customise the flavour with the usual chilli/fish sauce on the side of each table. There’s also a choice of noodles - my personal favourite is the kway teow!
Unfortunately, the Raspberry Cheese Swiss Roll wasn’t available so we settled for the Vanilla one instead. The roll was light and fluffy with the cheese flavour barely peeking out against the vanilla, so don’t be too frightened about the potentially conflicting tastes!
Hands down the most value for money prawn mee I’ve come across. Originally wanted to eat Wah Kee but was enticed by the snaking queue at Lai Hiang - good thing we decided to switch stalls! The chilli in the prawn mee packs a punch and portions are generous for the price point.
Packed with flavours and textures, truly the stand-out dish at Artichoke 🤪 Best shared between 2-3 people!
