Decent Cheese Katsu! Back at @onkei.tonkatsu to try their other tonkatsu variations and was satisfied with their Cheese Rosu-Katsu Set ($19.90)! The pork fillet was quite well fried till golden brown and it was stuffed full of cheese! The meat itself may be a little dry, but it is definitely meaty. The chicken is best paired with the tonkatsu sauce, which was pretty tangy to cut the rich fat flavour from the cheese and meat fillet. They offer free refills of rice, soup and cabbage, and I liked the soup the best due to its rich meaty and umami flavours. This may not be one of the best tonkatsu I've eaten, but it's definitely decent, filling and affordable. A great lunch option for the offices nearby!

Chicken Katsu and Tempura Chicken Katsu is soft and Tempura is crispy. Not too oily. Cabbage is crunchy.

Karage and Oyster Karage is very soft. Oyster is fresh

Paneer tikka masala ($17) 🍛 4/5 I couldn't get over how rich and smokey the tikka masala was and kept smothering my naan with it. The firm texture of the paneer actually simulated meat quite well if you're missing it.

Aloo Gobi ($15) 🍛 3/5 The cauliflower here was beautifully charred, which lent a smokey texture to the sauce.

Paneer Butter Masala This was amazing paired with some naan. Wiped the bowl clean with what’s left of our naan

Ginger Lemonade / Iced Lemon Tea The ginger lemonade is made using actual fresh ginger juice. I like how the zing of fresh ginger plays off that sweet-tart base 》$6 Each

Miso Pork Belly Bowl The miso pork belly bowl comes with homemade pickled cabbage, yakiniku sauce, onsen egg, sesame seed, spring onion and chunky slices of pork belly laid on top. The pork belly was thick and slightly charred to a nice burnt flavour. It was tender and juicy but I couldn’t taste the miso. Dipping it with the yakinuku sauce helps with the flavouring 》$17.90

Chilli Crab Pasta Spaghetti cooked with homemade chilli crab sauce and curry leaves, presented with a crunchy soft shell crab on top. The pasta was al-dente with a chewy bite. The sauce was done with the right amount of sweetness and a tinge of spiciness 》$18.90

Worth trying! Duck Confit Taglatelle - Smells amazing, and looks enticing! Tastes nice, though I personally prefer a stronger seasoning flavour when it comes to duck. The more I ate it, the more I enjoyed it though😄

Lucky Jjamppong- $12 Kimchi soup with lots of mock meat & mock meat tempura. Too much mock meat which is not to my liking.

Omni golden fillet no fish burger 🍔 🐠 Really interesting because this really tasted like fish yet wasn’t fish! I think the “fish” being coated in a batter on top of the soft buns really made it seem like a normal fish burger. Tasted amazing and the sweet potato fries were divine as well! My friend got the Omni burger black but she said it was alright since I think the patty tasted a bit too fake– so it was kinda weird for her to eat this as if it was a normal meat patty. We also got the carrot juice and it was very refreshing! It was overall a nice meal and we felt a little less guilty when indulging in these burgers. 🤭

Waffles were average, service is lacking Food was average, but service left a bad taste. Visited Grin Affair recently, attracted by a clearly advertised discount. However, when it came time to pay, the manager refused to honour the discount. There were no disclaimers stated anywhere on the listing, yet when we pointed this out, there was no effort made to recover the situation — no apology, no alternative offer, nothing. We even kindly suggested they update their listing to avoid misleading future customers, but our feedback was brushed off with indifference. Overall, very disappointing experience — not just because of the discount issue, but the poor attitude towards customer service. Definitely not a place I would recommend or return to.

yummy ice cream tried the valhorna dark chocolate, as well as a full waffle with jackfruit + peppermint & black cookie scoops! the waffle was warm n soft inside and the chocolate ice cream was super yummy

Double Scoop Waffle Thick and golden brown waffles are done to a crispy texture on both the inside and outside. I personally prefer waffles that are crispy outside yet fluffy on the inside hence the waffles at Around didn’t appeal to me. Moving on to their gelato where I got myself the strawberry cheesecake and Yakult oreo. I like the strawberry cheesecake where they balance the creamy and savoury flavours well without being overly sweet or cheesy. The Yakult oreo was on the icier side and it kind of fell short on the Yakult flavours 》$15.90 + $1 Premium Flavour

Lamb Shank so much goodness packed into 1 plate. the meat slid off the bone effortlessly and was super succulent. mixed with its special spice and herbs sauce which was so unique and delectable. the blue pea rice was also very tasty and fragrant. finished the last bite wanting for more

Mango sandwich 5.5nett So they use their signature bread for the sandwich. It's really quite unique, it's got some heft and works well in a thicker sandwich, and it has some bite as well. Almost has a cake like bounce, but seeing how it comes in their sandwich I'm not motivated to buy a full stack Mango today was v sour, this wasn't good at all

Custard bun 3.2nett It's really incredible. The same complaint about the type of bun, being too dense and creamy, would have preferred a fluffier type But the custard is godly. The perfect texture, between lightness and density, just very voluptuous. Flavour was absolutely amazing too and sweetness was perfect. Even the temperature was perfect, it's kept chilled and so having it right there, it was even better than when I took away. I inhaled this. We were supposed to share but I couldn't help but finish it and told my friend to get another one for herself Must try, dining in
