$10 for 3, it was really good and tasted a lot like crab. Good, frill-free pop up eatery. Although don’t expect a proper seating area.
$17 for the scallop salmon, $18 for the anago. Both were good and value for money (but don’t expect v high quality food). Service is what you get at a nonchalant fast food place that has too good a business to care about their customers, they were impolite so the experience isn’t restaurant quality.
$6.50 each, nothing to wow about but the lavender yuzu fizz drink was quite interesting.
Extremely pricey for really basic ingredients, even with Burpple Beyond. And the deal was also quite unethical to say the least. Did not explicitly list out what dishes could be under it, only listed out exclusions, but turns out only 1/2 dishes are under the promotion. And did not inform us when we were ordering either, ordered a soup that claimed to have fish, tofu and vermicelli, but was given a “vegetarian version” that ended up only having vegetables and they didn’t even tell us that that was the only option available for Beyond. Not to mention it was $17 for a bowl of soup of vegetables, which is quite ridiculous really. I mean the flavours were good and all, but I could get something similar elsewhere and with better ethics and transparency.
Went for the weekend brunch instead of their usual salad/sandwich fair. The truffle scrambled eggs ($22) is quite a filling option, and you get what you pay for because you can really taste the truffle. Except that if you’re there for something more, perhaps it’s not worth the price because it is, afterall, just scrambled eggs on a toast.
Also got the green curry eggs ben ($21), quite pricey for an eggs ben in a more casual cafe but I guess the supposed “exotic” green curry carries this slightly exorbitant price. It was good, but I’ve had better. The second egg wasn’t runny so consistency isn’t there either.
I’d say go to sarnies for their weekday menu instead.
Was really excited when I saw that they had halloumi! It was nice to see a black bun instead of the typical burger bun, not that there was any added flavour to it. The halloumi was sadly too salty and I think they fried it in butter so it overwhelmed the natural taste of halloumi. The curly fries were just average, so this dish was overall disappointing.
$22 for one. Thin-crusted almost like a biscuit, which was good because it wasn’t too heavy. The crab they use is the real meat, and the chilli sauce was quite spicy but palatable!
Really good and aromatic, just the right amount of sweetness and interesting combination of pepper for a savoury note!
$17 for a row of 6, on the pricey side but the quality was good.
$19 for this bowl, comes with a miso soup.
Ingredients were fresh and fairly generous, rice was good and flavourful too. A pretty good chirashi for a non-specialised restaurant : )
Part of the lunch set $18++ on weekdays, comes with a drink. Happy to see that they use metal straws here hehe. Their sourdough bread is really good, and probably the star of the dish.
$13.90 for large, quite generous with ingredients and the portion was enough (compared to açai shops that give really little), but consistency of açai pulp changes.
