Very good start for my morning with something sweet. The cream was perfect with the fruits and pancakes. The pancakes itself however was normal and nothing special. In fact I found it to be on the dry side. I prefer my pancakes to be fluffy. This dish success is in my opinion is entirely reliant on the cream. Overall I wouldn't mind eating this again.
Medium rare chateaubriand steak. This is some really good steak! Couldn't get enough. Can't say the same for the ribs at the back. Real ordinary and I definitely had better ribs before.
Love this so much! The black truffle really made ordinary chips taste so good! Good complement to the equally good steak they serve.
Really good streak for only £10. Cooked to perfection at medium rare. Such a rare find to get something affordable yet good in London where everything is expensive.
Got the special sandwich which was worth it with the added mango salad. Went really well with the pork. The flat bread was definitely a better choice then the usual bun as recommended by the seller. Plus points for the fried pork fat! It was so sinfully good though you only get it if you ask for it😉
Some people raved over this place but tbh I have no idea what's the fuss is about. The burger was mediocre. Those ravers should really come down to Malaysia and check out Burger Lab or The Daily Grind. The burgers don't come with sides. You have to order them separately but the sides portion sizes are huge so they are meant for sharing.
The scones were not bad. They gave a pretty generous amount of salmon and egg sandwiches. The portion was meant for two people but it is actually enough for three people. The tiny cakes were pretty good. Macaroons was alright. Overall it was just an average meal. More generous than others but taste wise it wasn't very impressive. £19.90 for two.
Love the vanilla ice cream but sad to say the waffle was a dismal. The texture is not good and when eaten with the maple syrup it became too sweet as the waffle itself was sweet already. My mother should have opted for chocolate syrup instead.
Love the ice cream here. Not a fan of chocolate ice cream but surprisingly I do not hate this. Still very much preferred the vanilla ice cream hidden at the bottom. Good amount of nuts given such as almonds, peanuts and walnuts.
Japanese sweet potato, coconut sago and gula Melaka. This is another of their miss or hit dish because it is literally made out of Japanese sweet potato. I am personally a huge sweet potato fan so I do like this very much as they managed to maintain the sweet potato taste. But for those that are not much of a fan of Japanese sweet potato you will be much better off getting something else or share this with friends. Rm9
Sweet red velvet crepe with espresso cream cheese, crushed coffee bits, raspberry coulis and vanilla ice cream. This is a love it or hate it dish. I personally find this a miss because I found the coffee over powering everything else especially when you add the coffee bits. The red velvet was literally there just for its color. They should just renamed this to a coffee crepe tbh. RM11
Heard this is one of the most popular dishes in Red Beanbag but upon trying it I have no idea how it became popular. It was lacking in flavour. The fruits given really wasn't enough to spice things up as the pancakes were really bland. Also the pancakes were too moist so they stick on the inside of your mouth which is my number one pet peeve when it comes to pancakes! Such a disappointment to be honest.
