I find it a bit strange that the soup was very foamy, but other than that, it does have enough taste of mushrooms. Including in lunch set of $19.90.
Huge crab for two, 1.3kg at $88. Salty egg yolk goes well with everything, so it does with crab. Lovely! Don't forget to order mantou to dip into the sauce!
Delicious lala bee hun at $14 for the small portion. We ordered this for two, there were more lala than the bee hun. The soup/broth is the key to the tastiness of the dish! Yum! Service is very good, comes with free valet parking too! We even got a free gift at the end of the meal from some lucky draw.
I always have prejudice to chicken broth ramen. I think pork is better. But marutama ramen chicken broth is quite good. It's $13 without the ajitsuke tamago. It's a small place, but at least with baby chair. We just have to fold the stroller and put at the corner.
First time trying churros. I bought the classic flavor, with chocolate. 3 for $4. It's just too sweet! Too too too sweet! Not anymore!
I ordered a Griddy Burger with waffles instead of bread, it costs $9.90. Not fantastic burger, but it's $9.90 so I considered it not bad. You can add $3.50 for two drumlets or waffles and an iced peach tea. Small place but baby chair available.
We used to love this little Japanese food stall in food republic since years ago when it's called Hamoru. We like the shiok maki. Haven't been there much for a long time and decided to bring my baby there for a quick lunch. Can't finish a shiok maki on my own, I ordered this salmon sashimi with rice. The salmon was fine but the rice wasn't good. Too sticky and it didn't feel like they used Japanese short grain rice too. Standard deteriorated.
We had this set (at $16.90, hainanese pork chop sandwich and Nutella Mille crepe) to share before a movie. We've been to EwF for a few times, it's not the best in town but it's good enough to revisit. We're greeted with friendliest staff at counter, very friendly, cheerful and helpful lady. The cafe is equipped with baby chair, and very big tables, good for us with baby! Besides, they're playing the cheerful play list that makes baby really happy!
Pick me up cafe is slightly further off in parkland green compared to the first few restaurant and bar facing the sea. It's less crowded compared to the bars, just what we wanted. The big brekkie is too big, can't even fit into the picture, with toasts, two egg Benedictus, salad, sautéed mushrooms, sausage, ham, and baked beans. Typical cafe price, about $17 (I can't recall the exact amount but it's around there). The cafe comes with baby chairs and also some simple rocking toys at the shop front. Not too bad for us with baby.
I ordered a lamb burger ($12.90) with mint. Didn't taste much of the mint. The burger was served along with a little salad and French fries but the servings are small. The service was a bit awkward, the waiter didn't give me a drink list until I was already eating. And also, he directed us to a small table for two while there were two plus one for us. The bar was empty, we were the only customers past lunch hour on Saturday. Awkward. No child seat in the bar, bad news for the parents. Remember to bring your stroller
