Soufflé Chocolate Tart It might get a tad messy while you enjoy the Soufflé Chocolate Tart, but it is worth the mess. The Audacious Cakery will be saying Adious Amigos on the 27th of this month, before they search for a new home outside Everton Park. The Tradition Audacious Cakery take on the traditional Chinese dessert, named as the Tradition featuring silky smooth yam casing with sweet pumpkin fillings inside. It was introduced during the Lunar New Year, but didn't get a chance to try it until now.

Decent, but nowhere near mind blowing The Perk Me Up ($8.80) was one of the better cakes we tried at @theaudaciouscakery. Light coffee mascarpone mousse on a speculoos cookie base. A pity we couldn't taste the promised marsala wine, and the biscuit tasted nothing like speculoos. Still, a pretty decent entremet.

Closing after 6th September After 13 years at kovan, ice Edge cafe will be closing its door after Sept 6 2022. Have been here a couple of times and really like the internal decor. Ice Edge cafe started out as a gelato shop and expanded to western mains thereafter. Thus having the gelato here will definitely won't go wrong. One of my favourite on the dessert menu is the chocolate lava cake with a choice of gelato.

Not Bad But Average (Left) Pizza seafood mentaiko (Centre top) Fatty fries (Centre bottom) Buffalo wings (Right) Pizza wild mushroom Ordered from grabfood. Been wanting to try this as we have seen some good reviews and the price is very reasonable. A little disappointed with the quality of food but it could be cuz of pricing or cuz it was delivered. The pizza seafood mentaiko had a fishy taste and smell to it so the ingredients might not be super fresh, which is not great for seafood. The mentaiko was also not evenly spread so there's slices that got almost no mentaiko taste at all and other slices that's a little bit too much. The pizza wild mushroom also had its ingredients unevenly spread as there was a slice that was super heavy on the cameralised ingredients. The taste of the pizza was a bit milder in general so it helps to balance the heaviness for the other stuff. The sides might be better eaten at the shop itself when served fresh and hot. The buffalo wings were unfortunately not spicy at all. Nothing much to comment abt the fries, but would like to try it in-store one day to see if it'll be any better. Unlikely to otder from here again but might try in-store one day.

Dollar Pancakes With lots of condiments to jazz it up. Indulgence. I love pancakes and pity this place closed.

Savoury Pancakes: Oslo ($18) 2 large pancakes make the base topped with zucchini-skin wrapped smoke salmon flower. The capsicum and onions could be cooked slightly longer to bring out the sweet taste in the vegetables into the fluffy scrambled eggs though. Mini mashed potatoes made the extra side to fill the emptiness on the plate. And a scoop of sour cream. Taste was 7/10, but isn't worth for the price at all.

Paddington House of Pancakes, City Square Mall. Our answer to lack of IHOP in Singapore. Interesting concept to serve pancakes from different culinary traditions such as crepes and Dutch Babies. Savoury and sweet pancakes available, Halal joint so that’s great too. Pancakes are generally fluffy and filling; risk of over-ordering but that’s a new normal these days.

Rum & Rasins Whoever baked this sure wasn't light handed with their dose of rum. Think this one of their strongest flavoured bakes. As usual good fluffy chiffon, not as sweet ganache. My go-to bakery for all birthday.

HOJICHA YUZU (limited time) Had their limited time hojicha yuzu cake. Was glad that I ordered this. Cake overall wasn't that sweet (as per their usual less sweet), hojicha was very gao, rich and earthy but together with their slightly sweet n tangy yuzu everything came off perfectly amicable.

Lychee Martini @$60 The Lychee Martini Cake is one of the more popular cakes here at Bloomsbury Baker The alcoholic taste was distinct and not overpowering. Cake was adequately moist within as well, texture was soft and the cream within tasted good and goes so well with the Lychee and the Martini.

Pandan Roll Nice pandan fragrance with light & milky cream. Gula melaka jelly is not too sweet, overall sweetness just nice! Will purchase again👍🏻

Matcha & Strawberry ShortCake Matcha 💚 & Strawberry 🍓 ShortCake 🎂 ($8.30) (4/5) from Dulcet & Studio I saw it at taka (tampopo) & they recently opened at i12katong. So I decided to buy cake for own celebration so I bought the cake from Orchard, gr.id to Jewel. I felt that it was quite creamy as they put a lot of fresh cream with strawberry inside the cake. I really like their fresh strawberry inside the cake and top of the cake. Matcha cream was really decent and not that strong taste tbh. I didn't expected that the cake can last long ard 7 hrs without the fridge even though its melted a bit from the surface of the cake. I do never it again but i wanted to retake photo of the cake next time with proper plate (mean I will be getting the cake nxt time if I passby the area again) 🙂

Sweet Potato Cake [$5.90] and Mont Blanc [$7] Saw these cute cakes and couldn’t resist (got these for my family). They looked not bad. The left one is a sweet potato cake and the one on the right is a Mont Blanc. Kinda regret it though, it has wayyy too much cream (it’s like 80%-90% vanilla cream) and so much dairy that I feel quite ill and definitely can’t finish these. Probably wouldn’t recommend. There’s hardly any cake. It’s mostly all cream. The mont blanc doesn’t have much of a chestnut flavour. The sweet potato cake tasted like Chinese dessert (orh nee). I really feel like the cakes tasted more like Chinese dessert rather than Japanese or French desserts. The search for a good Mont Blanc continues.

BBQ Beef Grilled Cheese Sandwich Portion was huge and the entire sandwich was oozing with the beef brisket and cheese! Think they used like 3 different types of cheese but with the flavour from the beef brisket, it really wasn’t overwhelming at all. It comes with real hot soup in a mug (cute!). We got the mushroom soup which was also really nice and full of flavour - kinda feels like it just warms your soul?

Good Ol’ Eggs Benny Had the eggs benedict with stewed spinach! My eggs were perfectly poached and runny and the hollandaise sauce was yumz but tbh I’d skip the spinach - felt like it was unseasoned and it didn’t really work with the whole dish. Oh but I really really like the roasted potatoes!

Mango coco 13.4++ add on almond thins +1.9++ THEY ARE CLOSING THIS WEEK The waffles were decent. Mango was way too sour. Coconut ice cream sucks, it's way too cold and lacks flavour Almond thins were brilliant. Super aromatic from the nuts, with a really satisfying crunch. Not sure what the translucent parts are but hey if it's this good I'm not complaining The queue is insane nowadays so please come with a reservation

red velvet cheesecake waffles ($11.50) as usual, the soft serve was rich in sightly salty cheese flavour!! the little cubes of red velvet cake topped w lemon custard were also a nice topping. would always recommend sunday folks for ice cream, but a little stingy with their waffles, can skip and get cones/cups instead

Randomly stepped in here to avoid the scorching sun, and was pleasantly surprised to see the lovely cozy setting inside. Charges are similar to pet cafes, 1st hr $12, subsequent half hr $5 and $35 for whole day. Most of the food and drink on the counter, including cakes, muffins, brownies, sweet cereals, lemonade, etc., are FREE except for certain items like cheesecake. Books and board games are available for entertainment. The best part is that there are two fluffy resident cats roaming and napping in their favourite spaces 😻😻😻
