In our honest opinion. It's better than Swee Choon. Got seated rather swiftly even though the place is rather crowded and our favourite of what we ordered was this Crispy Prawn Chee Cheong Fun. If you were wondering adding a couple more cents for crispy is worth it. Let me tell you straight up IT IS! JUST DO EET! That crispiness really adds a punch and some texture to the Chee Cheong fun! The sauce is nice too.
For some reason reminds me of those Chinese nice fried fish with the hot soy sauce drizzle.
I need to go back to try more of their stuff. π Hungry just typing about this.

We stumbled upon Ajiya after our Bukit Timah hike and were in for a pleasant surprise!
You get to customise your own okonomiyaki and even cook it yourself ! Especially if you're sitting at the teppenyaki grill! (You can also get the staff to cook for you of course!) Staff were friendly and we saw another couple attempt self cooking under the staff's patient instruction.

Highly recommend to add the egg to bring out the texture and flavour of the noodles :) Large prawns are a bonus but I would try the smaller version plus extra pork next time! ($8.50 for king prawn bowl and + $1 for egg)

The prawns were large and juicy (we ordered the king prawn). Prawn balls were delicious and something we didn't know we needed but was satisfying especially with the sauce and last but not least the kurobuta pieces really added delicious sweetness that the savoury dish needed.
No wonder there's always a long queue! π€€

We had a decent meal. However the service was a total turn off. Our food wasn't finished and we were chatting. Told rather rudely that people outside were waiting for very long. Begrudgingly we tried to finish our food and get the bill. Headed out and no one was there. What? Just one person was completely rude though and unfortunately seems to be the person calling the shots. Rest of the staff were ok. A pity really.
It's been too long since I've been blown away and impressed by a dish. πππ
If you're queuing you even get to smell fresh baked buns and cakes from the store right beside π this is Ah Seng Braised Duck. Tried and tested. Proven good. Like anything else on justjiak. π
I think it was like $9 for two pax what we had. With soup rice. Well worth it.

This is right now my no. 1 duck rice place. Juicy duck meat! We got lucky and had drumsticks! Lovely soup and the zhup? Just over plain rice is delish. The soup reminded us a little of pig stomach soup etc which I believe they sell too.
I just can't stop thinking about heading back for another plate. π in fact, serangoon gardens market is wayy better than anything chomp chomp dishes out.
