Note: I had it at bugis junction basement not hougang mall as stated...
Hey,
I’m new here
Suitable for:
If you are rushing for an appt around in bugis and you are craving for some comfort food.
Damage done:
7 to 10, depending of what additional vegetables you add.
USP:
The flavouring done right and they really wo(r)ked in front of you. I favoured the udon over fried rice which should be paired with the dark sauce.
They see em rollin’, they hatin’
Suitable for:
Those who landed themselves at Arab street. Those who seek a twist in their mundane chinese breakfast fare. Those who also want to care for their muslim friends — halal-certified.
Damage done:
$8.90 (if i rmbr it right)
USP:
A fusion of chee chong fan (rice rolls) topped generously with cider vinger washed Kale (i hope i got this right) and hot on its heels, homemade sambal sauce. Everything delicious la - thumbs up for a ‘local fusion’ dish
Most suitable for:
If you are in kuta looking for a quaint cafe to have a chill breakfast which can be washed down by a rich bodied coffee.
Damage done:
25,000 IDR
USP:
The owner actually took pains to explain the beans (you have chosen) and invested time in brewing that 150ml pot for you. Accompanied by a little coffee cup, short n stout
Most suitable for:
Those who are in/nearby SMU/Bras basah
Damage:
6 to 10
USP:
Fresh quality ingredients imo and a wholesome meal (like most japanese meals) where you get to witness them torching your salmon/duck/chicken. Portion was sufficient for a hungry schoolboy on a budget
Context:
was looking for good coffee, working space with wifi and a power point (in descending order of priority). It checked all boxes.
Trigger:
Was deliberating between the iced latte and mocha...went with the iced mocha. A little too much milk for my liking but its coffee does punch above its weight.
Recommendation:
go with the iced latte for a mellow afternoon ahead. Based on my two data points (was here previously with their latte), standards have not been lowered.
