Taro Hero to the rescue of the scorching hot weather? Meh, if you're looking for the real deal thick taro ice blended which has the consistency of somewhat like a 'paste' , this is definitely for you!

The lemongrass was fragrant and flavourful esp when paired with the sweet chilli sauce. Overall, food was satisfying and homey.

Convenience food at the next level with Onigiri at 7-11. However rice& seaweed lovers will rejoice while ingredients lover will despair. It's pretty average for a quick meal fix but I'm continuously bitting on seaweed&rice :( I Guess it would be more worthwhile to grab something from the nearby Coffeeshop instead . Come with classic : salmon tartar / teriyaki chicken ($2) or premium : Nasi lemak ($2.50)

- Spicy black cod fish soup
The delicate texture with mild flavour of cod fish fit perfectly with the spicy soup that has loads of finely chopped garlic .Do note that it contains loads of vege with limited pieces of cod fish
- An array of side dishes (9)
Kimchi , spring onion , sweet potato , salad, bean sprouts , etc . My Bias would definitely be the spicy and sour trad kimchi. Oh yah , you can takeaway if you would like so at $8 . And ice Cream is served at the end of your meal as mini dessert ❤️
- Pan Fried seafood pancake with spring onion
Hey I was looking forward to this dish with loads of seafood like prawn and sotong embedded in the flavourful batter but Guess what , I was so disappointed by the pathetic chopped portions of prawns . Was it even seafood? More like vegetable pancake . However, I still had to admit that I adore the batter and texture of the pancake a lot 😅

Overall , it was an interesting experience by tasting food items that are not sold often in other SG Korean restaurants like the spicy black cod fish soup but give the pancake a miss if you're a seafood lover like me!

Botanic Gardens MRT: Ice cream , Waffles or Brunch till 4pm ?
Brunch: Over-cooked but the runny yolk was perfect
Waffles : Slightly crisp edges but dense
Ice cream : highly recommended esp matcha and roasted sesame (guilty indulgence)

Is it practically the entire menu of the cafe scribbled on the blackboard ? Opened just a stone's away from Fatcat ice cream bar with similar menu offerings but it seems kinda more spacious. Appearance was definitely a let down , and their flavours tend to be lightly sweetened, more faint (healthier choice), definitely not for those sweet tooth lovers 🍬 brunch menu coming soon in May so look out for it in their insta updates

Guilty food trip 🍽

Their fried food ( intestine, prawn dumpling, soft-shell crab) fare much better than their steamed dim sum (siew mai that's tasteless?) *Chee Cheong Fun* would be highly recommended with their unique , thick sweet sauce! However avoid their man tou with Chili crab sauce at all costs as it was terribly sweet and the level of spiciness tend to be absolutely absent!

Two strong competitors for Thai food in Bedok when they are just 2 stores apart from each other. However Nangfa seems to win the popular vote as compared to Nakhon when i could see the difference in customer base at lunch hours. Blessing for the east siders who would just enter the shop with lesser queue when you're too lazy to queue. Be prepared to endure long waiting hours if you aren't there minutes before the opening hours! However it's definitely worth the queue as all the dishes were on point , particularly the Pandan wrapped chicken. It's so hard and rare to find such savoury and aromatic chicken while maintaining its juiciness and tenderness. Nett prices still but slightly more premium than the usual ones , esp when their thai milk tea costs $3/cup

Their main highlight would be the different types of gyoza they offer, enticing customers with the attractive appearance of pan fried dumplings with mentaiko/ cheese ? One of the unique menu items would be their jya jya men in which there would be several steps to follow (add vinegar/Chilli oil) and when you are just going to polish the bowl, rmb to save some noodles for the soup version when egg& stock is added! Two different styles to enjoy your jya jya men, however it tasted like Chinese style for the dry one. Soooo try out if you're interested in the soup version of jya jya men.

Korean-Western fusion? At nett prices , choose a base (eg bimbimbap) with your favourite OPPA chicken ( eg soy garlic) . A good choice for Korean fried chicken lovers located in Chinatown area.

Opt for the savoury option for waffles instead of the usual dessert kind. Additional Plus point would be the crispy ,marinated shrimp paste flavour boneless chicken leg. However once is enough! And it's always better to share the calories with a buddy.

Just recently shifted to a more accessible place, located near the Exit of Bugis (DT14). Have read many reviews raving about how authentic their food was , despite more costly than the famous Nahkon Thai. But true enough, my friends mentioned that their food tasted similar to what they had in Thailand! However guys remember to self-service at the cashier & place a reservation before going since there will be limited seats available.
