Ippudou always has a special place in my heart because it was the first ramen I had when I first visited Tokyo. Till now, I still remember the amazement I felt when I took the first sip of the soup and first bite of the ramen. It was, at that time in 2008, the BEST ramen I ever had.

And I will always be reminded of that memory in that Ippudou restaurant at Ikkebukuro in 2008 with @gracasaur and Jet.

Banmians are typically handmade flat noodles cooked in a savoury pork broth with minced pork, sliced pork, veggies, an egg, and ikan bilis (anchovies) as toppings.

To determine if a banmian is good, I always look out for the taste of the soup and its chilli.

Treated myself to a lobster roll because it has been a while since I last pampered myself to eat what i really wanna eat irregardless of price tag. And also because writing about seafood in Dalian made me crave for some huge juicy scallops and fresh uni. But I guess lobster will have to suffice for tonight.

I love the buttery brioche and how they were very generous with the lobster serving. But it didn't manage to deliver that punch and satisfaction I had at Lobster & Burger, which I love so much.

One cold and rainy evening, four friends went for a Wagyu beef shabu shabu buffet to warm their stomachs. They were not disappointed indeed - both by the warmth it generated for their tummies and the quality and taste of the beef. 9 plates of beef were polished, together w some chicken and pork and veggies of cos! Life is good.

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Singapore! They serve really awesome teriyaki chicken set for only $12.90 and it comes with a large portion of delicious well marinated and grilled chicken, a soup, chawan mushi, and an appetiser.
