Matcha & Sea Salt Chocolate 🍵 Matcha ($7.50++) This is really good, strong matcha taste and a fragrant milkiness to it! Not too sweet either. However the price is really steep. 🍫 Sea Salt Chocolate ($7.50++) When they name this sea salt chocolate, they mean it. Its like a chocolate drink but its liberally salted, not too salty but it may be a little acquired for some.

Waffles with Strawberry Compote, Vanilla Ice Cream & Granola 🧇 Waffles with Strawberry Compote, Vanilla Ice Cream & Granola ($15.90++) The waffle was pretty soft and fluffy, and was well complemented by the tart strawberry compote and sweet vanilla. I really liked the crunchy granola bits too! A pretty solid waffle and its quite decently priced compared to their other menu items.

2 For $30 Crab?? This place is famous for offering good deal for crabs, and they also have a great selection of cooking styles (chili, cereal, salted egg, kam xiang, etc..) Preferred the salted egg over their chili sauce. Do order the fried man tou to soak up the sauce which was thick with flavors However, dont expect too much for the meat itself. But, at this price point, you can't expect a restaurant quality meaty crab. No issues with me since I always enjoy scooping up the gravy with fried man tou over the crab heh

Eat The Salted Egg Shell Too! Never thought that you could eat the shell of a hard shell crab? Neither do I, but you can do that here 🤤 The salted egg crab is fried beforehand and then cooked with the sauce, that is my new obsession with crab. The classic chilli crab is a good one too! With the thick egg chilli sauce. And what's eating chilli crab without fried man tou? The man tou is so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside Rate: 4/5 Avg: $20 (except only 2pax)

Swopping out michelin noodle Noodles where the feature is the pork belly or char siew is lost on me cos I don’t eat those. They kindly swopped out the pork for me today!

a noodle story i didn’t intend to come here for dinner but saw they had a promotion so i dropped by… and it ended up BLOWING MY MIND. noodles were very springy, and i enjoyed every single thing in that bowl - the egg, the soft chashu that is so soft it practically dissolves in your mouth, the ngoh hiang, fried wanton… and the wanton soup was great to cleanse my palate at the end. they had an outlet at guoco tower but it has closed unfortunately :( but so delicious 8/10!

Singapore Style Ramen | $12.90 The noodles were nicely tossed this time round with its melt in the mouth pork belly. The ngoh hiang is extremely flavourful but felt that it was a little too salty today.

Come for their Monday lunch special — the famed Kaisen Don ($17.60) served with a free scoop of Negitoro alongside refillable side dishes such as stewed meat and potatoes or bean sprouts tossed in soy sauce. Unagi Kaisendon Just slightly under $20 this bowl comes with free flow of pickles and a daikon buri stew. Pretty worth the price!

Kaisen Don ($19.80) Daily special: kaisen don with white fish tempura. The food here comes with a drink and complimentary salad (radish + salmon). I did'n see the free bean sprouts in this outlet. Prices are also nett.

Poor Customer Service From The Salad Corner At Tanjong Pagar The employee at the serving counter is rude and I found her being partial and generous with "foreigners/white ppl" and having a irritated attitude when she serves other minorities. Kindly provide the person who is serving a "measuring cup" so such racial discomforts can be minimized. Also, if an employee is not happy serving might as well quit the job rather. If anyone has felt the same wrath from the person at the serving counter pls report here.

Salad Corner @ GSH plaza Not sure why is it not available on Burpple but i get this from the GSH plaza instead of tanjong pagar. The queue is very long (wait 15mins to order + another 10mins to collect). You can choose either warm salad ($8.9 for regular) or cold salad ($5.9 for 6 toppings). Go with warm salad this time with BBQ chicken + 5 toppings (soba, broccoli, roasted pepper, mushroom and onion) with thai lemongrass sauce. It is so tasty that i dont feel like having a salad!

En Sakaba Foie Gras Yakiniku Onsen Tamago Don ($22). Loved the buttery foie gras. The beef slices were a tad too tough tho. My personal preference would still be Tanuki Raw.

Clear baby clam soup to end our lovely dinner. It was such a wonderful evening where we just caught up, ate and drank. Thank you for the wonderful treat and for bringing us here to sample Chef Keisuke's Omakase.

Crabmeat Linguine The Crabmeat Linguine ($22.80) features al dente linguine, blue swimmer crabmeat and cherry tomatoes in a creamy pomodoro sauce - this is tasty and satisfying!

Chirashi Don What’s your favourite sashimi? Mine is swordfish. Unfortunately for me, there is no swordfish in there 😂 Still a decent bowl of chirashi though. Chikuwatei’s chirashi includes yellowtail, unagi, sweet prawn, tuna, scallop, salmon, ikura, tobiko & tamago. Despite being around for awhile and one of the chirashi found in many listicles, it took me until now to finally give this a try. I actually went to Manzoku first, which is also under The Yoi Group but they seem to be temporarily closed due to COVID-19 and the notice on the shop front redirected me to Chikuwai Tei. Salmon Aburi Mentai Maki + Soft-shell Crab The makis here are pretty huge per piece and delicious too. Perfect aburi salmon w mentai mayo with generous chunks of crispy soft-shell crab. The rainbow maki paled in comparison, just order this!

Unagi Nigiri This place might be famous for their chirashi but their unagi is equally good! Don’t give this a miss if you’re a fan of unagi.

Unagi Tempura I love the vibe at this Izakaya. The menu variety is also quite expansive. The deep fried items were especially well-done. We ordered the Unagi Tempura from the seasonal menu, which was remarkably good!

Good Jap Place in Singapore The food was good especially the cod! Quiet ambience and have the japanese vibes. Good for couples and also company dinner for food and drinks!
