curry udon with beef - my go-to order! always love curry udon because i find that udon noodles always go so well with the slightly sweet/spicy japanese curry, and the beef slices are also such a great pairing. 8/10
bought 6 muffins as there was a buy 5 get 1 free promotion. pictured are: blueberry, apple, banana walnut, double chocolate, hokkaido cream & lava cheese. i didn’t try all as i was sharing with other people, but these are my reviews on what i tried:
- hokkaido cream: this was so sweet and decadent, the fluffiness of the muffin paired well with the oozing cream, and the cream had the fragrance of hokkaido milk. 8.5/10
- lava cheese: had high hopes for this but i guess it didn’t live up to expectations as much. the cheese didn’t ooze out as expected from the name ‘lava’ so it was a little hard, though i still did enjoy the taste because i’m a cheese lover. 7/10
- double chocolate: can’t go wrong with a double chocolate muffin. this was filled with chocolate chips as well so that gave a different dimension to the overall texture and was so rich. could get a bit jelak at the end though! 8/10
curry chicken kolo mee - noodles were flavourful and springy; curry was very rich and milky, and the chicken was so tender and fell off the bone. there were also many huge potato chunks in the curry that i LOVE. every bite of this was heavenly! 9/10
soymilk dandan udon - the broth was delightfully rich, with the distinct slight spice of dandan noodles (packs a bit of a punch), slight notes of sourness and an overall milky texture. udon noodles were also very silky and matched well with the broth. would rate 7.5/10 as it was delicious, but i would prefer if it was a tad less sour
tortiglioni spicy pink pasta with egg - loved this, pasta was cooked perfectly al dante and it tasted delicious when soaked in the pink sauce. sauce wasn’t too spicy which was to my liking. would definitely be back to try more! solid 9/10
