Seng House was SUCH A TREAT!! The chili crab pasta (Spaghitti al Granchio) was a flavour bomb - UMAMI, acidic, and a spicy kick, in the best way possible!! If I crave a chili crab pasta, I will definitely want it to be cooked this way, it is really that good! To me, this feels like a homage to our Singapore Chili crab dish.
On the other hand, the beautifully charred squid (Smoked, Squid & Citrus) had hints of thai cuisine with the shallots in the pomelo, which is a unique subtle twist. The dish is served with fire-roasted corn (i'm not a fan of corn, so i asked to swap for more peppers!)
Cinni-Churros ended our night in the most cozy way. The light churros were served with cinnamon sprinkles, vanilla ice cream and peanut butter - melting in my mouth in a combination of salty sweet, hot and cold balance. It was pure bliss!
It's a night of delightful flavours, my husband and I enjoyed our Anniversary dinner here! Starting off strong with the tuna tartare that melted in my mouth, bursting with the umami of the shadi caviar, and the truffle toast packed with an exquisite taste of foie gras balanced with wine.
The smoked kingfish was light and again melted right in my mouth, though I thought the flavours could have went up a notch.
The Atlantic Octopus was charred well and believe me when I say that the smell of the dish would lift your appetite the moment it's served.
Ending off pleasantly with the Deconstructed Lemon Meringue Tart. Though I was really full after the entire course, I loved every mouthful of this dessert, it was done really well; doing justice to every element in the bowl. It somehow reminded me of masterchef AU! Do try it when you're here!
Looking forward to be back again! (':
I had an incredibly romantic and delightful meal at Meadesmoore. For starters, we had the Baby Octopus Piperade, Breaded Pig's Head, Bone Marrow and Maitake Mushroom. I especially love the Baby Octopus and Maitake Mushroom cos they were really packed full of flavour, I was savouring every bite!
For mains, we shared the Flat Iron and Onglet. It is definitely one of the best I've tried, the meat was so tender that it could be cut easily at once, melting in my mouth with such bliss! I dipped it with the salsa verde that brings the party in my mouth to another level.
We ended off with a comforting tiramisu. It was impressive how they nailed every single dish, including this seemingly simple dessert!
Overall, the mouth-watering and sophisticated dishes stole my heart! Other than that, it is also an elegant place with thoughful service. Thank you for the memorable experience, Meadesmoore! Will definitely be back again!
These glistening Original Pork Ribs were so tender and juicy, definitely a 5/5 for me and I'm missing it already!
The environment is perfect for gatherings with friends and theres many drinks options too.
The service was awesome and staff were thoughtful (we chat and ate for so long that we stayed past the opening hours by 5 minutes, the staff were still polite with warm smiles, thank you!). Looking forward to visit again!
Cozy cafe along Joo Chiat road! We came on a weekday evening and managed to snap this photo of the dreamy environment before the dinner crowd. Was served a petite blue welcome drink which is nice. Food is decent.
Really LOVE this place! Highly recommend the flavourful riceball and fluffy korean egg roll~ We ordered crabmeat & roe riceball, it came with a generous portion of crabmeat (look at that bowl!!) and the mixed purple rice was the most yummy healthy rice I've ever eaten!! Pro tip 1: riceballs were extra juicy when you mix and squeeze them together into balls. Pro tip 2: we saved $2 when we traded the steamed rice that came w the stew for our riceball (how awesome that they have such an option btw!!)
Jug of Honeydew aloe is 1 litre full and enough for 3 pax, it was really refreshing and I can't believe how many small pieces of honeydew there were in there?! Must try this too!
Overall a 10/10 for me! No wonder it is full house on a weekday night :'D
I love that all their dishes were served hot and fresh! We ordered half Garlicky and half Spicy Chicken (and personally prefers Spicy!) and the chicken was still crispy after eating till the last piece, despite being drizzled with sauce!
Rly glad we had our FRIYAY dinner at Chir Chir and excited to visit again!
The Pescatora in squid ink chitarra had a generous portion of fresh seafood and I loved their Tiramisu Classic! I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely bring my friends here for more great Italian food!
This is one of the most impressive dinner i’ve ever had! Especially, the dish Otah Hamachi Collar had moist and fresh fish meat coated with a top layer of flavourful and soft otah. The sauce that comes with it boosts the dish’s flavour too. The chef is really consistent with his high standard of cooking as his other dishes were above expectations as well, such as the laksa mussels which i just can’t get enough of. As the place is very popular, we had to make a booking even for a Monday night for 2 as you’ll be surprise that they’re full housed!!!
Simply Salmon is soft and fresh, spicy and so shiok, taste is unique!
Ice popcorn matcha latte - im utterly impressed by this delicate drink, another specialty other cafes can’t offer!
Hot and crispy winglets
- we just had to add on since their mains were damn good. This pinch of sweet, slightly salty and spicy wings is really nice! And its crispy in the generous sauce it was served with.
To add on, the place feels really warm and homely! Decorated with such vintage collections, how cool is that!
To be honest, the place is really suitable for takeaways. Food is decent, my unagi is nice! Im especially intrigued by the hokkaido scallop!
One improvement, however, is to use less of plastics, we dined in but were served with plastic plates and utencils?
Overall, food is worth the price, especially for such a high end location!
With a melted warm top layer of chocolate, it complimented the moist and fresh banana cake! Unlike other desserts, i honestly craved for more after every mouth!! (‘: (even bought a takeaway for my mum to try it!)
