Went to Chong Pang Market & Food Centre for lunch, decided to try Teochew Fish Porridge coz this stall sell fish eggs 🤭. Sweet Potato Cashew Milk Latte Guilt free and delicious. They made their cashew milk in-house. Ordered the sweet potato variant. Nutty, aromatic profile which resembles a little like soy, the cashew milk goes well together with the purple sweet potato concentrate.They also have a matcha cashew latte that I really want to try next time.

Vegan Cashew Nut Latte Ordered: Matcha and Sweet Potato Cashew Nut Latte ❣️More than just an insta worthy cafe, Kebun joins the vegan party with their menu of lactose free drinks that do more than just tasting good on the tongue. The Matcha latte is slightly “sandy” as this green power pack is made by whisking matcha powder and water to a thick froth (yes, done the good old traditional Japanese way) before the cashew milk is added. The sweet potato latte on the other hand is made with blended sweet potato and cashew milk. Yeap you didn’t read it wrong, it’s blended sweet potato made fresh on the spot upon order. Talk about “respecting” ingredients 😉! Fresh tea lattes are on the menu too so do check them out if you are in the area *Hong Lim Food Centre ahem*~

Not Fantastic Burpple Beyond deal was limited to only crab and seafood (mix of crab + lobster) rolls. I tried the Maine-style seafood roll. I liked the bread which was toasted and buttered, but I felt they could be more generous with the amount of lobsters (only 2-3 pieces in the roll). For $25 it is very pricey but thankfully we had the deal so it wasn’t so bad.

Authentic boat noodles Tom yum and pork boat noodles are very yums. Moo ping is juicy and tender. Thai milk tea and Thai lemon tea are very fragrant. Chill ambience at level 2. Would really love to be back again to try other items in the menu.

Tom Yam Boran Noodle@$6.50 The tom yam boran noodle is quite a popular dish here at TMTBN. Tom yam was not so spicy and tasted a little sweet. Not so filling though. Still feel hungry after. The mini bowl pork boat noodle@$1.80 was flavourful. But not worth it leh. Like very very small portion. 1 piece of pork and 1/2 a meatball. Plenty of noodles choices to choose from: - thai vermicelli - glass noodles - egg noodle - thick noodles(like kway teow Conveniently located near hougang mrt.

Boat Noodle ($1.80) Expected more from this place seeing the reviews online. We order 1x beef, 1x pork small boat noodle and a bowl of tomyum boran noodle. Beef is nicer than pork. Portions are really tiny even for $1.80. I would have preferred getting a large bowl of beef boat noodle instead of the tomyum boran noodle which tasted rather sweet and watery. Nothing tomyum about it.

Same same but different Hmm, it's different now, yet still one of my favourites. The spinach noodle and tomato noodle are gone from the menu, and did the name change? What haven't changed are the large wantons, the good char siew, the noodle's wetness and the generous greens.

Feeling Green Agree with ST. Still one of the best after eating several times. Noodles cooked just right, serious about their char siew and greens, addictive wantons soup or fried (fyi I topped up), and so confident in their special sauce to replace the usual seasoning. Even the most popular wanton mees rarely check all the boxes.

Char Siew Wanton Mee [黄记港式云吞面] - there was quite a queue, and pretty obvious why. The mountain of eggy noodles were firm and qq, the thick gravy was flavourful and surprisingly not too heavy on the palate. Lightly charred char siew, some bits were a little dry but overall pretty good. Wanton filling was good with crunchy water chestnuts(?), soup was tasty too! All these for only $3.30.

Prawn Mee Hidden in the neighbourhood of Hougang Green, you find this super long queue early morning at this food court. Everyone patiently waiting for their turn to the front of this stall. This is where you could get their signature prawn noodle and lor mee. Since their signage mentioned about the famous prawn mee, so I would go with it as well. The taste was balanced as you mixed them together. Even the smaller portion already come with sufficient amount of meat and prawn.

Very Shiok Hokkien Mee! Hidden in a humble kopitiam in Hougang is this stall that sells some darn good hokkien mee ($4/5) at night. You know its good when there's a huge queue for the beautiful plate of slurp-worthy goodness. The broth used is very thick and flavourful, and ingredients are very fresh. It's interesting how they use some kind of braised meat as well! This is one shiok meal but I must warn you, the Hawker does not really adhere to his opening hours so you will be lucky if you are able to catch him 🤣

Prawn Noodles This is one of my fav prawn noodle places because they’re so generous with the ingredients for the price. The prawns are sweet and the cut of pork that they use is really tender! (My mum says it is pork shoulder.) The seasoning for the noodles is addictively tasty and slightly peppery. The soup on the other hand probably has a ton of pepper inside because it tastes way too peppery for my liking, but my little brother still likes it so it’s probably a matter of preference. This place is famous for their lor mee too, which I love as well, but they sell out really early!
