These soft shell tacos capture a flavour bomb, including spicy pulled pork, baja fish, and one with just cheese and veggie (you can choose the flavours). El Mero Mero means the best, and we cleared this in no time

Pistachio Tiramisu: $10.00
ladyfingers biscuit, mascarpone cheese, a hint of coffee, chopped pistachios

this pistachio tiramisu did not look anything special BUT this is a life changer - if you are going to dine at iO Italian Osteria, you can skip other food and go straight for their pistachio tiramisu. tiramisu cake was soft and fluffy, good layer of mascarpone cream, a thing layer of pistachio paste between the cake and the cream which helped to bring out the flavour of the chopped pistachios toppings. it was absolutely gorgeous πŸ’•πŸ˜ easily one of the best tiramisu in SG

Burrata: $19.00
Burrata cheese with wild rocket and cherry tomatoes salad, parma ham and a hint of olive oil

this review might be a little bias because I absolutely love burrata, but the burrata was really nice and creamy - wild rocket and tomatoes salad was not anything special but it accomplished the burrata cheese well. there were only three strips of parma ham but I guess for its price, it’s rather reasonable.

Traditional Stuffed Roman Schiacciata [small] : $10.00
crispy flat bread with truffle mushroom cream stuffing

although the bread was good, I personally would have preferred it to be a little crispier. well-balanced truffle mushroom sauce but a little bit lacking in the filling. it was a good started - not a life changer.

Porchetta [small] : $9.00
baked pork belly with wild fennel

this porcetta was absolutely beautiful with its crisp, cackling skin...pair it with some mustard and you’ll be hooked in no time. no games smell or taste and the portion was reasonable for its price. although I must say that I was hoping it will still be warm when served.

GC1 [Triple Dark Chocolate & Smoked Salt Cookies with Vanilla Bean Mochi]

this was love at first bite πŸ₯° love the taste of the cookie - not too sweet and that smoked salt definitely gave it a kick 🦡🏻

Rating: 4.53/5 ⭐️

GC2 [Roasted Hazelnut & Milk Chocolate with Vanilla Bean Mochi]

love that they don’t skimp on their ingredients- chunks of milk chocolate and big pieces of hazelnut with a hint of saltiness to balance the sweetness...crumbly cookie texture with the mochi was a unique experience
lives up to its name as a GIANT COOKIE - better for sharing, otherwise too jelak

SC1 [Dark Chocolate and Smoked Salt Cookie] and SC2 [Roasted Hazelnut & Milk Chocolate Cookie]

Both flavours were addictive and it is so easy to eat these scrumptious bite-sized cookies mindlessly. Dangerous for weight gain but so worth the calories.

Overall Review:

Very pleased to discover this homebaker πŸ₯°πŸ™ŒπŸ» The price seems a little steep (see below) but it is worth indulging in.

Giant Cookies: $13.50 per set of 3, $25.80 per set of 6

Meat Lover Okonomiyaki [Bacon, Pork Belly and Cheese]: $16.00
Japanese style pizza with cabbage, ginger, scallions, egg, okonomiyaki sauce and bonito flakes

This was a little bit of a lackluster experience for me. For a specialised okonomiyaki shop, it’s ironic that the side dishes tasted better than the actual okonomiyaki. Okonomiyaki was alright, not mind blowing. The taste of pickled ginger was rather overpowering and I couldn’t appreciate the rest of the toppings that we ordered as it was overpowered.

Potato Cheese Mentai: $11.00
Fried potatoes topped with mozzarella cheese and mentai sauce

Potatoes had a nice width which resulted in a really nice crunchy texture, very generous with the mentai sauce πŸ’• love that they served it on a hot plate

Hiyashi Chuka Ramen [spicy]: $12.00
Cold ramen with ham, egg strips, cucumbers, carrots and home made sauce

With its unassuming appearance, this dish was surprisingly good... noodles were al dente and vegetables had a nice crunch! well-balanced sauce was refreshing and the spicy option gave it a kick to the bite

Yuzu Raspberry Cake:
The combination of the white chocolate cream with the fresh raspberries was refreshing and well-paired. The cake didn’t feel as heavy when you eat it because of the light sponge cake. However, it wasn’t particularly mind-blowing.

Earl Grey Passionfruit Entremet:
The combination of earl grey and passionfruit was a match made in heaven. The slight tanginess of the passionfruit balanced the underlying bitter flavours of earl grey. Overall, I personally preferred the entremet to their Yuzu Raspberry Cake.
