With the most unique variety of gelato I’ve ever seen, Monarchs & Milkweed Gelato’s chilled desserts lean toward the more mild flavours that aren’t overly sweetened.

The Brown Butter Sage was very earthy and creamy, while the Lavender was distinctly floral. My companion said she avoids Lavender anything as it usually tastes very “soapy” 😂 I, on the other hand, absolutely love anything Lavender! I thought it was one of the better tasting Lavender foods I’ve tried.

Give this gelato store a try if you love gelato or just want something out of the ordinary, you definitely won’t go wrong here! If I’m ever in Bugis again, I’ll definitely make a stop here 🥰

If you love cheesecake and cruffins, @keongsaikbakery is a MUST visit.

I absolutely love their Two Face Burnt Cheesecake, I’d even say that it’s my favourite rendition of it in Singapore! Keong Saik Bakery has definitely achieved the perfect balance of cheesy, creamy, sweet and earthy from the mix of Matcha & Cream Cheese 🍵🧀. If there’s one thing you need to try there, it’s their burnt cheesecake for sure.

We also ordered their cruffins, but as visually appealing as they were, I was underwhelmed by them. Both the filling & the croissant aspects of the cruffins were subpar, but honestly, I’d probably still go back & try their other new and exciting flavours.

The Earl Grey Pancakes here are unlike any other pancake I have ever tried, in Singapore or abroad! 🥞 Light, fluffy & wonderfully infused with the earthy flavours of earl grey, as a fan of the tea, I was sold with the very first bite. The poached pear was incredible too, we loved everything on the plate.

We also had the Croque Madame 🥪and Tsukune Chicken Burger🍔, both of which were a delight to savour too.

I love the ambience of the cafe as well. The mesh of minimalism with industrial furnishings reminds me of the sophisticated cafes in Melbourne. Definitely paying a visit to PUNCH again for the delicious grub & groovy vibes 😌

Ordered the Carbonara and topped it up with black truffle. Noodles were cooked perfectly al-dente, the egg made the dish extra creamy while the black truffle added that oomph the dish needed. Would order again!

If you’re planning on making a visit here, definitely make a reservation! There was a long waiting line when we visited on a weekend.

Apart from that, this place offers great ambience and a generous myriad of food and drink options. No wonder it’s so popular.

I had my first taste of the Impossible Burger here, and it was a pleasant surprise. The texture mimicked exactly that of a beef burger but the earthy flavours of the plant alternative still shone through. It was perfectly juicy though. Another star of the dish was the crisp sweet potato fries, we couldn’t help but reach for more despite how full we were!

If you’re searching for a unique pasta dish, look no further! SUP’s Duck Confit Hazelnut pasta is my absolute favourite for its earthy flavours from the masala cream and crunchy hazelnuts. Served with fresh pasta and shreds of duck confit, this is a must-try!

I had been eager to try this curious looking burnt cheesecake ever since The Kins’ opened and I’ve heard so many good things about it!

Safe to say, it met expectations 😌 this anti-cheesecake is everything a cheesecake shouldn’t be: burnt, jiggly & without the usual biscuit base. Despite all that, I’d say this is my new favourite way of enjoying cheesecake 🥰. It was light & my mum said it was reminiscent of the BAKE Hokkaido cheese tarts, just without the tart. Pretty accurate description I would say.

I can finally declare that I’ve found my favourite ice cream place in Singapore 🥰. Mad that I’ve only given them a try now, YEARS after constantly passing by them.

Friends and I decided to get the Charcoal Waffle (S$6) with 1 ice cream flavour each: Earl Grey Lavender ☕️ (S$4.50), Black Sesame (S$4.50), Vanilla 🍦(S$3.90) and Smoked Peppermint (S$4.50) 🍃. My expectations for ice cream flavours that are out of the ordinary are pretty low, there’s usually one aspect that always disappoints: too icy, melts too quickly, not creamy enough, etc.

BUT OH DAYUM, FATCAT KNOCKED ALL 4 OF US OUTTA THE PARK 🤤. Every single flavour was incredibly well executed:
1) you could taste both the earl grey AND the lavender, I could even spot lavender bits.
2) the black sesame was full of depth & well-balanced with the creaminess.
3) the smoked peppermint is the MOST unique flavour we’ve ever tasted, it definitely was S M O K E Y.
4) there was NOTHING vanilla 😉 about that vanilla ice cream.

I’m not a fan of anything charcoal flavoured. Honestly, does charcoal even really have a distinct taste to it? But this waffle at Fatcat has won me over, it definitely had a distinct flavour to it while being oh-so-soft on the inside & crispy on the outside.

I am mostly definitely bringing everyone I know to Fatcat 😻🐈🐱

Ordered their Blue Vanilla with Black Sea Salt and Lavender Blueberry.

I really liked the creamy & delicate Blue Vanilla flavour, but my companions disagreed with the smoky & savoury Black Sea Salt topping. Worth a try to kill my curiosity tho!

The clear favourite here was the Lavender Blueberry. Light and refreshing with its tasty floral notes, it complemented the Lavender cone like a match made in heaven 💜

I wouldn’t say this beats my top two favourite ice cream parlours in Singapore, but I’ll definitely pay a visit here again to try the other flavours if I’m in Orchard.

$21.8 for a loaf of this but it’s worth the indulgence! I love having this for breakfast. It tastes great on its own but my favourite way to enjoy it is by toasting it, topping it with butter and jam.

Juicy, tender, crispy and fatty enough that it satisfies your tastebuds yet not over-indulgent. I loved the complimentary sauces that are offered as well & not to mention the fresh cabbage to cut through the fattiness. Highly recommended!
