For those times when you need coffee but you also want beer. It might be too acidic for some people, but I don't really mind. Try to finish it while it's still frothy and cold though.
The "krab" plant-protein patty actually tastes quite like the real deal. Paired with the sweet and spicy sauce, fresh veggies, and soft bun, altogether it creates a nice combo. If you choose the meal you also get chiller and fries, but actually the burger itself is already filling for me. Too bad the outlet is so far or else I would like to visit more often.
A great conducive place hidden in Serangoon Gardens area. They offer coffee, tea, cake, and food like salad or burger that looks really good too.
Honestly, what could go wrong with combination of sweet potato fries, truffle oil, and fresh shaven truffles anyway? It's a bit expensive, but the amount of truffle is pretty generous. Otherwise you can also get one without fresh truffle for $11.9.
For $7 you get braised minced pork on top of warm rice, with half boiled egg and pickled cucumbers. Such a comfort food. The portion is big enough to fill you up. They also offer side dishes such as dumplings, fried chicken, etc.
This is my first time trying these variations of teochew kueh and it does not disappoint. You can choose from 4 different types. They are really generous with the fillings and the skin is chewy. Complete it with drizzles of sweet sauce and chilly sauce.
Wanted to get the pan-fried one but since I pointed at the steamed ones those are the one I got 😅 I think this is the time to up my Chinese skill.
Love this combination of soba, shredded chicken, boiled egg, shredded omelette, and salad. So yummy and healthy! The portion is just nice to fill you up. Definitely would come back to try other options as well.
Had the chance to try this famous Yong Tau Foo in AMK. Price starts from $0.50 per ingredient. Other than the dry version, you can also choose to have the soup version or laksa. They also have chee cheong fun if you want something else than the usual noodle. When I was there at around 3pm, people are still queueing, although it didn't take too long. I love the sauce, it has the right kick of spiciness. I will definitely eat this again if I am in the area.
Not the healthiest food option, but this combination of soft bun, sausage, gravy, and shredded cheese attracts me the most. I can't really taste the Sriracha, though. The portion is really filling, it made me full for the whole day.
The indoor seatings are pretty limited, especially when it gets crowded during lunch time. They have outdoor area too if you don't mind the heat.
llaoMango is back for a limited period of time, so go get it before they're gone! Make sure to check their Facebook page because it's only available at selected outlets.
Personally I like this better than the original one. The mango flavour is not too strong to the point that it tasted artificial. If you're not sure if you're going to like it, try the Petitllao first.
Cozy place to get your work done, with wi-fi and many electrical sockets available. The coffee is not bad and they also have food menu which I haven't give a try, maybe on the next visit?
Pretty colourful bun with generous filling. The filling is not too sweet and the bun is fluffy and soft. I would like to come back and try other flavours as well since most of them are already sold out when I went there.
