Wow super bitter and fragrant but in the best way possible! If you like IPAs, you’ll love this. The Genmaicha is intense and really comes through. Didn’t expect the grapefruit to pair so excellently with it. A must-try for those who prefer less sweet and fruity flavours and something more complex!
Super surprised to spot Khao Soi in a hawker centre! The coconut based curry was very fragrant and the chicken drumstick was big and tender. Only thing that could’ve been better were the noodles that were a touch overcooked. The Kway Teow Mu was really good, the soup had a great depth of flavour and all the pork cuts were nice too. Will definitely have this again if I’m at Circuit Road! (Ps they only serve these 2 noodles)
This is now my fave place to get this dish! Each component is so well done — smoky grilled pork, crispy spring rolls and super tasty meatballs on refreshing noodles. Their Chili is also bomb!
The super fluffy potato buns never fail to amaze me every time I eat here. This veg versions comes with mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado and portobello. The best part is how fresh and tasty everything is, always feels good to eat here. I would say to not bother with the fries and drinks - the burgers are good value on their own! Another 👍🏻 non-beef option I usually get is the Avo Fish Burger ($10.90).
Okay new favourite here. Kayuki ume spirits, kill devil long pond rum, Granny Smith Apple.
It is a spirit-forward, intriguing concoction I can’t get enough of. Right up my curious palate’s alley.
Almond wine + Prosecco. Unexpectedly fruity, and nicely toasty/nutty from the almond. A truly enjoyable, Super easy drinking way to start the night.
Addicted to this. From the thin white bread to the barely-there mayo and delicately breaded ebi & corn “patty” — this is a must must order.
A lovely starter! Creamy, sharp, and umami from the seaweed.
What a great bar snack. You get the satisfaction of a fried item yet the freshness of tuna sashimi. Perfectly executed.
These are my must-orders here. The 夫妻肺片is basically a “salad” of beef tongue, offal, peanuts, coriander — all tossed in an addictive sweet-spicy-tangy dressing. The crispy intestines are just too good with the fresh crunch of celery (pls be at least 3-4 ppl if not don’t order this). The spinach is just an excellent counterpoint to all the dishes with a complex aged vinegar dressing.
This is so damn good. Have this and maybe a slice of something sweet and you’ve got a killer brunch for 2. The flatbread is so nicely grilled and the grooves are perfect for holding little pools of pesto. The burratina is a lovely little indulgence.
My go-to order for brunch when not sharing. Cool, smooth ricotta + bursting roasted toms + baby spinach + shredded basil on a nicely toasted slice of sourdough and olive oil = satisfaction.
