Don’t underestimate this 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗸𝗲 & 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 stall that sells Wanton mee and both Black & White Carrot Cake. So far we hadn’t seen a stall that sells this combination, but we were told from our friends that this is one of the stalls they will definitely visit whenever they comes here. Greeted with a long queue just like the other famous stalls, we decided to join the queue to order the recommended black carrot cake. It’s very affordable, comes in different pricing of $3, $4, $5. We ordered the $4 and portion is huge! The cake has a soft texture, fried generously with lots of eggs and Chye poh. The most ingredient for Black carrot cake is the black sauce and the black sauce nail it right, it’s sweet enough and flavourful, yet not too sweet for our liking! Every bite is so full of flavours! This will definitely get you hooked to it if you enjoyed sweet black carrot cake, just like us! ⠀

Finally getting our hands on the Legendary 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙮 & 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙮 Luncheon breads! We got carried away with their wide variety of breads & Uncle keep shout “再来，再来， 再来!” and we ended up, walking away with..... 10 breads nicely packed in a big box!!! OMG! I think we hadn’t ordered this much before, and somehow we feel so happy walking away with these breads! We got the flavours, Luncheon Meat, Chicken sausage, Curry & Tuna, and they are all reasonably priced cheap from $1 to $1.10. Bread were still slightly warm and they were super soft, fluffy and so fragrant! It’s also not oily, and they were so generous in their ingredients too! Luncheon meat is thickly sliced and indeed it’s so irresistible, we couldn’t stop at 1 and immediately reach out for the 2nd bun! It’s so hard to find cheap and good bread, and they taste so old-school, like those we ate in our younger days! Even when we ate the next day, the bread were still soft and yummy! ⠀

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 sells super delicious and fluffy traditional pancake with different fillings, Red Bean, Coconut, Peanut & Peanut Butter. Although it looks thick, its texture is very soft, light and fluffy with golden brown crispy edges on the sides. We are in love and would highly recommend their Peanut Butter Min Jiang Kueh! One of the best reason to eat cold shave ice on cold weather because it won’t melt so easily. It’s very hard to find good, fine cold shaved ice and we are so happy that 𝗠𝗲𝗶 𝗛𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝘂𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁 味香园’s Mango Ice meet our expectations! Ice is very fine, diced mango were all so sweet and overall taste is not too sweet for our liking! Super shiok to eat and freeze, like those good times we had in Taiwan! They also served all kinds of hot desserts that’s so fragrant too, the whole shop smells so good with a faint of peanut aroma lingering. Highly recommended for you to visit them for hot and cold desserts after meal! ⠀

Craving or Korean food for lunch today and we did a quick google search. So surprised that just within the whole stretch of Amoy Street, there’s tons of Korean Restaurants, and quite a handful with awesome reviews too! One of it was this, 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗸 𝗣𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗿. It was fully occupied when we arrived and thankfully they have a 2nd storey so they could accept our walk-in request with no reservation. ⠀

Portion was pretty decent and fulfilling, we were so stuffed & could hardly walked after the lunch. We had spicy seafood tofu soup and it’s amazing fabulous shiok! Super satisfying and there’s lots of eggs, tofu and seafood in it too! Beef Bulgogi were pipping hot when served, super flavourful and goes so well with their soft white rice! So fantastic and we hope to be back again for some bbq Korean dinner too as their menu is super intensive and price is affordable too.⠀

To celebrate & mark 𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗨𝗗𝗢 11th year since they first opened a Singapore outlet, they arrange a special collab with our local celebrity Li Nanxing to create a limited edition ramen - Dried Scallop Hae Bee Hiam Ramen 🍜. This collab is known as LNX X 𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗨𝗗𝗢 and it will only be available for a short period of time from 17th to 23rd Dec 2020 at the 3 stores stated above.⠀

The ramen consists of 𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗨𝗗𝗢’s signature rich Tonkotsu broth with miso paste, Li Nanxing Dried Scallop Hae Bee Hiam, lime on the side for an additional tangy taste, fragrant garlic oil infused with sambal and a huge slab of flame-seared Chashu. When served, we were told to taste the broth first, then stirred everything in except the lime, and lastly squeeze in the lime for a tangy taste. Broth is very delicious and it tasted a lil like Tom yam soup too! A very local and unique taste, which got us hooked to it! Texture of noodles can be customised upon ordering, soft, medium, hard, our preference is soft noodles. Chashu came in a huge slab, flamed-seared beautifully, super tender and soft! We loved it so much and would totally visit it soon again before it ends. ⠀
