Ghim Moh Carrot Cake. Yes this popular stall sees an endless deluge of hungry customers at its gates. I don't usually like the sweet black varietal but their rendition has just enough crust to keep you interested. The white version is studded with crisp bits and bobs of chai po, a good measure of egg amongst tender steamed radish cake that renders it to rectangular pieces for that ultimate indulgence.

Ghim Moh is quickly becoming my favourite market! If you are up and early, visit Thye Hong Fishball Noodle stall because they are sold out by 10am daily!
Big and generous serving of grilled fish with 2 sides, just less than $10, an affordable version of Astons. Must try!!
#01-28 Xing Li Cooked Food. Can hardly taste the starch! This is $4 portion, must go for the largest portion instead! So satisfying.
An appropriately named stall as the dishes do have a home-cooked touch although the hawker is actually a young, fit looking dude and not some motherly or fatherly figure.
My parents had ordered from this new-ish stall twice before (they opened only in March of this year) and wanted me to try the dishes; in particular, the Thai pork satay which my dad claimed is very good. Alas, it was sold out by the time we were there for dinner at 7.30pm on a Sunday. Regardless, we ordered the red tomyam soup, fried petai, minced pork omelette, Thai herbs chicken wings and pineapple rice. Each item costs $6 if my memory serves me well.
I would say overall, the food was decent, with the red tomyam soup being the standout. It was adequately sour and spicy, and tasted like it was made from scratch. I counted four large prawns and three pieces of squid in there which's pretty good for the price. Our order of chicken wings was overfried and a bit too crispy, but we still polished them off pretty damn quick.
In spite of the food being good but not great, I think it is wonderful to see new options for customers at this popular hawker centre. Especially when it is owned and operated by a young hawker with support from his sister and friends. At least that's what I gleaned from what I heard and saw.
"Home Thai Food" is located at unit #01-130.
Overloaded with fish which are so fresh and the soup base is 👍The best part is having Tau Cheo (soy bean paste) sauce to dip my fishes. I love having hot soup on a cold rainy afternoon 😊 》$5 + $0.50 Rice
