A most wonderful dining experience - Parma ham with melon, seafood aglio, stewed beef etc - they are all great ! Luv the warm bread eaten with olive oil & balsamic vinegar :)
Reasonably priced scone at $3.30 served with butter & strawberry jam. There are lots of cranberries in the scone and jam is therefore unnecessary. Portion is large but taste is passable.
Definitely fanciful looking strawberry shortcake from Laurent's Cafe. $12+ for a set with coffee/tea, between 2pm and 6pm. Its sweetness is just right, though it has an overly sweet appearance. Perfect pairing with my cup of latte! Oomph :)
A light yet tasty sea bream dish is my main course. 3 - course lunch is $38+. Reasonable.
Fragrant lavender macaron - not overly sweet. Part of the dessert table. A place with good food and good view.
Value for money black carrot cake selling at $2. Available at $2.50 & $3 too. Find it at 134 Carrot Cake stall:) Tasty !
Decent mee rebus at $3 at a Malay stall known as Nur Fah Malay Corner at Sembawang area. Rich gravy and moderate spiciness. Can try it out.
First attempt at this brekkie dish - too huge a portion for me. It's pretty meaty too- meat patty, sausages, bacon...I must say the meats are tender and not overly salty which happens in most preparation. The egg is a tad too dry - a sign that it's been prepared way too long ago? Overall not a bad dish, at $12.50 including a drink. I would ask for vege to be added if I should eat this again.
No meat ! But definitely delightful for the taste buds. Met up with my good friend Carol and we savoured : fruit rojak, pumpkin & sweet potatoes salad, mushroom aglio and chocolate mocha cake. Love all the items except the cake - it kinda tasted strongly of shredded coconut. There's a generous portion of the spaghetti for the aglio dish, but it isn't the best amongst all. Fruit Rojak is my all time favourite, with it's chilled fruits such as guava, jumbu, pineapple etc with the tangy Rojak sauce. Shiok!
The simple plain scone, costs $4.50, served with fresh cream n strawberry jam. Good old fashioned food. Eaten warm and it is heavenly.
Simple looking choc dessert with chocolate fudge -smooth and goes well with the raspberries & blueberries :) just find it a tad too sweet on its own, should have more berries to accompany it.
Burger with beef patty, sunny side up & streaky bacon. Their signature dish. The well-done beef didn't lose its moist. The sunny side up, though, can be better presented- cos I don't see the runny egg yolk. Comes with fries too. Cost $33 with a dessert.
