Wonderful ambience and service! This place is super underrated. They gave a hand sanitizer to each of us ordering heheh. (Cheap thrills 😂)

Ordered the Fish Collagen Miso Bowl ($17), Truffle Miso Bowl ($17) and Takoyaki ($6.50). Honestly not a fan of having miso as a soup base because I usually get stronger flavours like Tonkotsu but this is really good! Texture of Inaniwa udon was great too, chewy but soft enough to bite through.

The Fish Collagen Miso Bowl came with Udon, Salmon, egg, corn and sping onion. I usually don’t order salmon in soupy stuff but this was really good 😂 Would have to say that the ingredients complemented one another. The egg had a lava interior as well, but it wasn’t the typical Japanese ramen egg that’s marinated in sauce so it’s a bit on the healthier side.

Truffle Miso Bowl blew me away just with the hints of truffle in the soup. We finished the soup up because… It. Was. So. Good. 💯 Also, their Takoyaki was so crispy on the outside, I think this is my favourite Takoyaki place! $6.50 for 6 balls is expensive but it’s worth every penny!

Their menu had so much of options that made me salivate just by looking at it. They have soup udon bowls, dry udon bowls and donburi. Will come back to try their other bowls!

Had this as part of my groupbuy and was pleasantly surprised that the noodle texture was still springy when we consumed it.

Had the large bowl and the noodle initially seemed little, but by the end of the meal we were super full. Also came with many meatballs (I think 10?), minced meat, and pork lard(?). It’s a really good bowl of noodles, the soup was relatively flavourful.

I’d order this any time if I’m nearby but it’s not something I would travel for to eat.

This place is AMAZING✨ Ambience and service was great.

Ordered the cold pasta truffle scallop uni capellini ($88), Ravioli ($28) and Uni/ Scampi Bruschetta mix ($116). Total bill amounted to $276.60 for 2 pax, relatively pricey but it was worth every penny 🤤

The cold pasta truffle scallop uni capellini had a strong truffle taste which was elevated with the sweetness of the scallop and creaminess of the uni. They very kindly separated the dish into 2 plates for us for convenient consumption too!

Ravioli was nice, but personally i think it’s something you can miss out on!

The bruschetta with uni and caviar was similar to the cold pasta truffle scallop uni, except that the bruschetta was really crispy and fragrant and the toppings were generous. Would come back again to try other dishes! (Was eyeing the penne al granchio!)

Spotted this stall on some food review page when it was still based in Marsiling Mall and pleasantly surprised when it shifted closer to the west!

Ordered the Minced pork noodle ($4) with Mee kia. The texture of Mee kia was springy and it held the sauce very well. Sauce was also very flavourful; the dish included minced pork, fish cake slices, pork liver, braised mushroom and lard. The lard was crispy but unfortunately there wasn’t much in a bowl. Pork liver was thinly sliced and not over cooked, absolutely a delight.

Also I’m not someone who would finish drinking BCM soups unless it’s good, and I finish slurped up every bit of this soup.

The uncle was very humble and also very friendly and had great service. He came to check on how the noodles were while I was in the midst of eating and was very sincere! When I told him I specifically came to the industrial area just for his BCM, he mentioned that he was very paiseh I had to make a trip all the way down 😂 Would come back again for this!

Nestled in Empress mall, this is one bakery you wouldn’t realise was there and would have walked past easily!

Bought the Lemon curd cruffin, Ferrero Rocher Cruffin, Salted caramel cruffin and PB&J cruffin. Absolutely love the texture of the cruffins, it wasn’t too dense and the flakiness was on point and upon reheating them prior to consumption, the fillings were pretty much like lava.

Lemon curd was a tad too sour to my liking and the salted caramel was less sweet than expected (more to the salty side). Ferrero Rocher and PB&J were my favourite!

Ordered a Pork Rougamo ($4.90) and Grass Jelly Milk Tea ($2.90). Prices are exclusive of GST.

The Pork Rougamo consisted of shredded pork meat and capsicum in a baked crispy (and flaky) bun. The bun was 💯 and the filling was so flavourful and juicy! Only towards the end you’d realise that the juice was relatively oily but it wasn’t jelak and I think it’s fairly worth the calories for this taste 😂

The Grass Jelly Milk Tea was smooth and not too sweet, I’d say it’s worth purchasing!

Would come back to try the main dishes!

Visited on a weekday lunch, no queue. Ordered the Classic ($16) and Happy Days ($20).

The Classic contained an impossible patty, pickles, special sauce and cheese while Happy Days contained an impossible patty, cheese, onion rings and smoky bbq sauce. Patties were juicy and fried til the edges were slightly crisp. Tried the patty on its own, tasted EXACTLY like a beef patty without the beefy taste. I’m impressed! Would have to admit that I prefer Happy Days better though; the onion rings added the texture and sweetness while the smoky bbq sauce added a level of depth to the burger.

The burgers came with a side of fries; upgraded one set to truffle fries (+$3). The truffle taste was really mild, you wouldn’t realise there’s truffle in it so I feel that it isn’t worth upgrading it. Wouldn’t specifically visit here to satisfy my burger cravings but if I’m in the vicinity, I would come back!

Ordered the value meal (Shoyu fire ramen at $13.90) with an additional chashu ($1.50) and Ajitama ($0.90).

Would have to say that the smoky (wokhey) taste and smell was fabulous and noodle texture was just nice (chewy and springy). I’m not someone who usually orders shoyu broth because I love how flavourful Tonkotsu is but after reading various reviews, it seems like Tonkotsu broth will overpower the taste of the wokhey.

Despite not being a fan of shoyu broth, I would come back again for this! The price point including GST and service charge amounted to close to $20 but for that wokhey, I think it’s worth it 🤤 Also, the culinary theatre experience was gone so quickly in the blink of an eye, I wouldn’t mind trying it once more 😝

Service and ambience here was just out of the world 💯

Went during lunch and ordered a lunch set + ala carte. Had the salmon carpaccio, Bincho Sakura chicken thigh and Japanese cheesecake for the set, and added on a Wafu Carbonara with Uni and Lemon Yuzu for ala carte. Also had both specialty teas (KOMA Teriyaki and KOMA Momo Mont Blanc).

The Salmon Carpaccio had a good blend of savoury but light and refreshing umami and was extremely fresh. Bincho Sakura Chicken Thigh was grilled well and there was some charred smell and taste (in a good way) while the chicken was still juicy. Wafu Carbonara with Uni was a rather interesting dish, a light kind of creaminess but something I wouldn’t crave for. Both desserts were amazing, and special shout-out to the Lemon Yuzu! It wasn’t just beautiful but the taste was AMAZING! As for the teas, skip the Teriyaki tea and go for the Momo Mont Blanc!

Ordered a small bowl ($9) which was shown as per the photo on their stall. Clarified that the larger bowls come with more ingredients, not just noodles 😂.

The bowl came with springy wanton noodles, hot spring egg, cha-su, crispy potato wrapped prawn, HK style wontons and scallions. The wanton noodles were springy and with the addition of the scallions and chilli, it tasted flavourful. The hot spring egg was cooked to the right texture with a lava yolk and was sweet-savoury flavoured as a whole. Crispy potato wrapped prawn added more texture than taste to the dish while the HK style wontons were filled with very generous fillings of prawn and meat. The best part of this dish was the tender and melt-in-your-mouth Cha-su 💯🤤.

Would have to say that although the ingredients were really fresh, generous and delicious, this bowl didn’t come together as a dish. It’s a dish that I personally feel everyone should try at least once in a life time, but I wouldn’t revisit it again.

Ordered the century egg with minced meat porridge ($5.90) and topped up $2 for youtiao and soymilk. Youtiao was really crispy and porridge was served with fried wanton skin (crispy but has an oily taste to it, abit jelak after a while). Soymilk was really smooth and didn’t have siap taste too! Have to say it’s a bit pricey for porridge but I find it worth the price.

Specifically travelled here for their xiao long bao and fried dumplings with leek & shrimp but ended up having other favourite items 😂

Ordered the xiao long bao ($5.80 for 5pcs), fried dumplings with leek & shrimp($8.80), Beijing styled noodles with soybean pasta ($6.80), steamed chicken with chilli sauce and kelp side dish.

Xiao Long Bao was flavourful, and skin was relatively thin yet chewy. The fried dumplings with leek & shrimp had a layer of crisp to it and the skin was chewy too, but seemed overwhelming after having quite a few. Kelp side dish was good in balancing out the jelak-ness of the other dishes.

My favourite two were the Beijing styled noodles with soybean pasta and steamed chicken with chilli sauce. The noodle texture was chewy and really good while the chicken was cold and appetising.

Price point was really good too, will be back to try other items in their menu!
