I really like their churros waffle, especially when it's paired with the sea salt caramel ice cream! Hands down my favourite ice cream there, so much so that I added another scoop of it hehe. The charcoal waffle is worth a try too - they make their own salted egg sauce! No such thing as too many waffles and too much ice cream, but as much as I want to go for another portion today, I think three days in a row is a bit much. (Refer to my previous post) Hearty curry! Chose the crispy chicken and crab cream korroke as our main and side respectively.

My twin flavoured crispy chicken don exceeded expectations. It looked quite dry in photos, but the two sauces (grated radish and nanban sauce) definitely helped with that. I'm not a fan of grated radish but I preferred it to the nanban sauce as it was more refreshing. The dish also came with soup - I chose dashi - which I suspect you have to pour in together with the rice and chicken but I saved it for last since I didn't want my crispy chicken to become soggy. So technically it's tri-flavoured??! Bang for the buck cause it was darn filling and satisfying yet not overly heavy. I also went for the Aomori apple juice (S$4.50++) which was gr8. The curry rice was very hearty too, I presume because of the beef mince added. You can choose your main and side, so we got crispy chicken and crab cream korroke. I rly quite liked the curry! I think it's worth checking this place out and I would return again because the quality and taste is there. There's also a JTB counter and I think you can purchase JR tickets there too? Order from five/six food establishments from a tablet, send your order to the kitchen, pay, then wait for your food to arrive. Theoretically a good concept, but not when you're in a relatively big group (more than two) since there's only one tablet per table to go around. What we did was to go to another table to use the tablet to see what was on offer and then ask whoever is holding on to the tablet to add on orders. The food I found a bit too salty though. We ordered a bunch of things - a very spicy Thai-style minced pork sausage spaghetti with pork crackling that was a bit too hard, crispy juicy deep fried chicken winglets, a confusing pad thai without noodles and with too much sauce, and Chinese food like XO carrot cake and salted egg yolk prawns which were quite meh. The fried things we ordered were really yummy though. The rest, not so much. Can pass on this, honestly. Fresh and (relatively) affordable. The Alaskan crab is a new dish we tried this time and it was PACKED with crab meat. I don't think the service staff wasted any when she was peeling it?! It's all hidden in the shell since they cooked it in this cream sauce (which was very sinful since one of the ingredients is a block of cream cheese...). A tad bit overcooked though and the sauce could have been better. The sauce used for the crab is I think the same sauce as that for the scallops, which used to be more flavourful. The fish & chips was still good - crispy and flaky with the yummiest spicy green sauce on the side (the dots aren't ketchup and mustard ._.) - although I think they reduced the portion size. I loved the sauces they use too, including the chili sauce. Cannot think of a dish we ordered that wasn't good. Pictured is the suckling pig with glutinous rice, soon hock fish soup, steamed chicken with this yummy soy sauce concoction which also tasted a bit herbal-y, vermicelli with prawn and scallop, and fried noodles with prawns. There was SUPER crispy lard in the noodles as well. The tofu we ordered (not pictured) was soft and jiggly and so v eggy, the kind that I like! Will definitely come back again! The dishes are quite pricey though, and it's quite hard to get reservations cause their space is quite small. The yuzu sabayon really tasted like nature - the oba leaf ice cream (turns out oba leaf is shiso leaf!!) really tastes like grass LOL but it went really well with the yuzu cream, raspberry bits and biscuit "soil" when you eat it together. Interesting dish because the ice cream is homemade! I've actually never come across oba leaf ice cream too. The buttermilk waffles were a bit dense though - think they're still improving the recipe! It usually comes with peanut butter ice cream but today we had kahlua ice cream which was super yummy! Actually their ice creams made in house are really good so it's a bit of a pity that they don't come in individual scoops - hopefully they do soon!!
