I came here cause my friend who works in the Boat Quay area told me there was a new shop soft opening since end of October. When I went the next day for lunch they already had the full menu going and just ran out if their tonkotsu bowl. I didn't mind as I was here for something else, the Tantanmen that looked amazingly delicious on the pictures I had seen and thankfully it didn't only look like this. It was spicy but even though it made me cough a couple if tunes it was nothing else than pleasant. It also didn't feel too have, which was surprising considering the thick broth and the chili oil floating on top. The noodles were great the meat savory and plenty but what I loved the most about it was the load of coarsely chopped raw onions that were dropped into it. The shop had people sitting inside (including me) before they even opened and when I left a queue had already built outside. Staff was friendly and attentive fast, the ice water had lemon in it, they offered full body bibs so people don't mess up there business clothes for the afternoon meeting and they had little bowls with hair bands for the long haired. I'll be back to try the miso, tonkotsu ones but first that bowl with those thick slices of chashu. Ps: my top up egg was outrageously perfect.

Delicious menu with a wide selection of food and drinks, all served in a modern setting. They obviously put a lot of thought into the details for this place as every time you look you see something new like the domino bar. My favorites were within others the grilled scallops with caviar from the specials menu, the jamon and the octopus. Have to return soon for the crispy pork tacos.
I stumbled over this place a few years back and have returned regularly ever since and also brought all my visitors here to trt. I love their spicy Dan Dan Mian as well as their awesome Zhajiangman with handmade noodles. On the dumpling side the Xiao Long Bao and Spicy Wonton are incredible and all that for close to nothing. Ps: they have also have a second stall now at Alexandra Food Center (??) close to all the motorbike repair shops.
They are still my favorite through all my time here. Crispy, juicy, no sauce needed. Available at No5 and Ice Cold Beer at Emerald Hill.
