It’s so worth it for the price, most items on the menu were less than $10 and portion is huge and filling! . . . ✅ They are also Halal Certified Western! .

Fatty Bom Crunchy Chicken (S$ 7.20) There was a time in life when I was in Singapore that I went all the way to Toa Payoh to get halal (& cheap!) Western food. Price didn’t disappoint, but flavour wise I thought it could be slightly better. I would want to come again to try out the beef dishes though, apparently they are good.

The flavour and fragrance of the tea was distinct and lingering, without being too milky or sweet which was what I was expecting initially. Certainly not your usual teh ping with a robust earthy flavor that was prominent amidst the smooth milkiness, coupled with a pleasant lingering aroma. Any resemblance to Chun cui? Perhaps a fresher, stronger, preservative-free one with a much lower intensity of sweetness. Love how it was served in a ziplock bag - an upgraded version of the plastic bags in traditional coffeeshop, one that’s convenient and fuss-free for takeaway, with a greater rigidity and of course, aesthetics 😌. A sip of this reminds me of the days in Taiwan where this kind of milk tea is basically everywhere. The packaging itself is interesting enough as you sip the tea through the opening of the ziplock bag without having the trouble of carrying another plastic bag. The three Chinese characters on the bag is for the fact that they put their heart in providing customers for their good quality food and beverage so that we can also put our heart in enjoying their food and drinks as well! Grilled Scallops The juicy scallops that we enjoyed at Kko Chi Bar! Everything was good here from the skewers to the fried chicken. I was really impressed with the skewer rotating system that allows the meat to be cooked perfectly above the heated coal. The Korean Fusion restaurant has been around for about 6 months with a chill, simple yet really well thought out space. Every seat has a compartment underneath to keep your bag off the ground. I really appreciate it when restaurants take into consideration where you're going to keep your bag whilst eating. Apart from that, we noticed that the exhaust system runs under the raised flooring. Which means no smokey room and no large exhaust tube hanging in the middle of the table so you can't see your friends sitting across form you. Seems like a great place if you want to chill with friends whilst enjoying skewers and beers. They have Korean sodas too if beer isn't your thing. They're open till 3am in the morning so if you're a night owl… This place is a short walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT near the junction of Craig Rd and Duxton Rd. Set A ($45) Supposedly for two, but couldn't finish this (especially with the free-flow ban chans – they're super generous!). You get four chicken and pork skewers, plus pairs of lamb, beef, sausages, shishamo, oyster mushrooms and bacon-wrapped enoki skewers. The auto-rotating machine is something new and fun to experience too! While the staff assists with the cooking, do keep an eye on ingredients that cook/burn easily like the garlic chives. Ours burned on one side, though they promptly replaced it for us without having to ask! It can get pretty busy but service was impressive.

Cha CA la vong set for 2 35++ Fried in front of you, fish was tender but not the crunchy strongly grilled kind. Overall it's passable but it's forgiven because they have the super smelly shrimp paste that's authentic, lifting this dish out of mediocrity (upon request)

Squid teeth garlic style 25++ It's really the squid beak muscle. Choice of 3 styles, grilled garlic and I forgot the last one Squid beak muscle had a bouncy texture as you would expect. The garlic pork lard mixture with sweetness was smoky and very indulgingly addictive. Super unhealthy but couldn't stop myself Lovely

OBBA Jjajang😋 Went to OBBA Jjajang 2 weeks ago and ordered their Kimchi Stew, Steamed Egg, and Jjajangmyeon (~$40 for 2 pax)!😇 Overall ratings 10/10! Loved their food as always and the kimchi stew is so flavourful😍 Would definitely head back again
