Price: $7.95++
Taste: The "taco shell" is made with fried chicken breast meat. Very dry and hard. The filling is too little, I can hardly taste anything. Good idea, poor execution.
Return: Nope not for this lousy kentaco.
Beef cutlet curry rice set.
Price: $8.90
Taste: Damn good! Granted, the meat is not top notch. Curry by default is quite spicy, like medium spicy level.
Return: Yes definitely will come back for more.
Very underrated place. Or maybe simply because not much people care about Orchard Xchange. Anyway, the Lu Rou sauce is on point, authentic taste from Taiwan! If only their portion is bigger and give a full egg instead of just half... then I'll be a loyal supporter.
$9.90 Crispy roasted pork belly with thai fragrance rice. Nothing to be fussy about here. The set comes with a drink of your choice. They have nice furniture here so the ambience is quite comfortable.
Standard hotplate pork set with rice and kimchi, food court style, but this stall is definitely a level higher. Authentic korean taste and recipes. The choice of meat used were a mix of lean and fatty meat, which balance the whole dish, preventing it from being too dry or too greasy. The spicy level is quite low so it should not be a problem for non-spicy eater too. Highly recommended if you don't know what to eat in Asia Square food court!
This burger is huge, definitely not for those with small appetite. The chicken patty is fried perfectly, crispy while retaining the juiciness of the meat. For cheese lover, better to opt for the cheezy version, as this Mayo one feels less shiok. But still overall it's a worthy and decent meal!
The coating taste like powder from Laksa chips. Quite tasty actually but I think it is considered weird and not many people will like it. I won't eat this again though, once is enough. Additional info: I think PS KFC is one of the better outlet thanks to the high human traffic and hence the chickens and fries are more fresh and not cold.
The layer of cheese is definitely thick enough to satisfy my cheese cravings. Dory fish is well cooked too, soft but still doesn't break apart too easily when sliced. Mash potatoe is decent, nothing to be fussy about. As for the onion rings, sadly it's only 4 pieces. For $8 in coffee shop, I do expect a little more than just 4 pieces π€£
Overall standard not bad, will be back to try other things.
My favourite choice of side dish here. What I really enjoy is the fried rice cakes - very special! Crispy on the outside and once you chew a few times, it changes to the usual sticky chewy feel. Fantastic sensation. Love it!
πππSuper generous portion! My mouth was so tired from all the chewing of crunchy ingredients. The underdog here is definitely the bean sprout soup - looks plain and normal, but its actually well seasoned, with a subtle taste of corn. Oh, when mixing the rice, remember to add their Gochujang (chilli sauce)! Need this to complete the authentic taste.
Not exaggerating, but this is probably the best korean fried chicken I had since my trip in Korea 3 years ago. Really is fried to perfection. Even the breast meat is super juicy. Ate 3 times already, will be back for more!
Double Trouble - Battered Haddock & Grilled Chicken.
Quite a magnificent meal. Quality food with quantity too. Haddock was fried with truffles oil and I totally enjoyed the fragrance. The piece of grilled chicken chop definitely surprised me - it was super tender and super juicy. Upgraded to truffle fries without regrets too.
Overall quite an expensive place to dine in but I won't mind coming back again once in awhile for the good food!
