Pandan waffle flat white Was skeptical of the name but this really surprised us with its distinct floral pandan aroma and almost buttery creamy finish. Bought a bag of beans home to enjoy and it was just as good as in store!

Brekki for champions Hearty and filling spread with sourdough, poached eggs, maple espresso bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, and pork sausage.

Eggs Benedict Went with the unique stewed beef option and enjoyed the perfectly poached eggs and well-marinated beef. The brioche was airy albeit dry, and could do with more hollandaise sauce or butter for added moisture to the dish.

Yummy In The Tummy Tried the prawn risotto and oxtail lasagne. Prawn risotto: slightly wetter than usual risotto but it was the most amazing flavour ever. Could taste the prawn and herb flavour in every bite. Prawns were slightly over cooked, which was a bit disappointing for Jamie’s standard. But seriously, the risotto was so amazing I loved it more than the prawns. Oxtail lasagne: fresh tomato base, go in expecting less béchamel than a normal lasagne recipe and you won’t be disappointed. Oxtail would have been better if it was in chunks, unfortunately it was shredded and ended up smushy against the al dente lasagne sheets.

Creamy And Yummy In The Tummy My boyfriend ate the 150g burrata, I didn’t. He described it as “creamy and yummy, recommended”.

My Favourite Bread The garlic bread comes in four, but gobbled two before realising it’s photo-worthy too. Crusty on the outside but super fluffy on the inside, bread was totally not dry or tough. Garlic and herb flavour was amazing, and goes super well with the mozzarella inside it. Totally recommended!!!!!!

the best thing on the menu I had the Elvis ($11) which had PB, raw cacao, banana blended together to form a thick & creamy smoothie bowl, topped with house-made vanilla granola. Also topped with raw peanut butter cubes which were to die for!! The top layer was rich pb & choc, and the bottom sticky crunchy layer was a mixture of crushed cashews, pitted dates & coconut.

change to gluten free toast!!!! was convinced by a friend to change the buns of the Portobello Mushroom Burger ($18) to Gluten-free Toast (+$3). It’s LIFE CHANGING SERIOUSLY. As usual, their potato chunks taste amazing esp when paired with their housemade mayo.

STANDARD DROP, STAFF DONT CARE Risotto was just severely undercooked !!!!! Told at least 2 STAFFS and they said errrr ok …. HOWEVER NO ACTION BEING DONE…. UNACCEPTABLE FOR A F&B restaurant. TRULY the worst food ever. Won’t even pay a penny for the food.

Another Italian Restaurant Added to My Go-To List For Valentine’s Day dinner, we kept it casual at Pete’s Place, and honestly, that’s the kind of dining experience we enjoy these days—good, honest cooking done right. We started with the Calamari Fritti, and it was one of the best we’ve had in a while. Lightly battered and fried to tender perfection, the squid was paired with pickled zucchini, which added a refreshing contrast to the crispy goodness. For mains, we had the Linguine Vongole, where the clams could have been plumper, but the white wine reduction was beautifully balanced—sweet, savoury, and full of umami. The Diavola Pizza was everything you’d expect—meaty, cheesy, with a chewy, satisfying crust that fills you up fast. But the star of the night? Pete’s Tiramisu. Served tableside from a tray, the savoiardi biscuits soaked up the espresso and white amaretto, making each bite moist, decadent, and just the right amount of boozy, while the mascarpone added a creamy, luxurious finish. Definitely a spot worth adding to the list for comforting, well-executed Italian fare.

Prosciutto Di Parma We ordered Prosciutto Di Parma, where their signature 48-hour dough pizza is topped with aged 18-month Parma ham, rocket, plum tomatoes, parmesan and mozzarella cheese. The thin Parma ham is savoury and flavourful, and the rocket leaves brings balance to the strong flavours. The pizza crust is thin, soft and slightly chewy. Enjoyed this!

Buttery flaky croissants! Was at CT Hub and decided to grab some croissants from @brotherbird_bakehouse ! No queue! Got the Taro Croissant and Honey Sea Salt Croissant! Buttery and flaky! ✨

Matcha Almond Twiced Baked Crossiant I'm so lucky that I managed to go their drive in outlet at CT Hub last month before they undergo renovation this month ownards. So I ordered their matcha crossiant ($5.50) like finally. But I didn't managed to reheat it as I wanted to try it asap. Matcha taste quite creamy and milky but slightly oily tbh and got a lot of strain. Their mochi inside the crossiant really chewy and not that hard as I thought.

Mentaiko Prawn Twice-Baked Croissant Savoury croissant packed with mentaiko prawn filling and mozzarella cheese finished off with ito garashi (Japanese dry red chilli pepper shred). They were generous with the crunchy prawns filled in each croissant. The filling goes really well with the crispy layered croissant. Every bite is an umami bomb 》$6

Ice Cream + Waffles Finally tried their best selling ice cream flavour (salted butterscotch) one last time again before they closed down permanently + valrhona chocolate ($8) + waffles ($4) last time I have tried with my mum and sister after covid phase 2 where they r dine in. I think that salted butterscotch really so good, savoury and salty taste and taste remaines as same throughout the years. But valrhona chocolate just jelak for me tbh, milky, creamy and bitter taste and also thick texture and still complemented well with salted butterscotch. Waffles I think that they just overcooked (slightly hard to cut down) and got a bit of "char" edge 🥲. It turned soggy once ice cream melted it off towards the end.

1for1 no longer worth it got a pork katsu don and chicken katsu don. (apparently 1 for 1 is only applicable for these). both were a little too salty for my liking. however, the biggest turn off was the staffs being extremely unfriendly, maybe just a bad day? idk

Unagi Don ($20) I love unagi and this was good but not one of the better ones I have tried. It would be good to have more unagi (there were too much rice imo) as well. Utilized BB 1 for 1 so it was worth ($10/pax before GST & svc charges) but wouldn’t pay the full price for it... Do note that the deal is only applicable for donburi but the menu is not as extensive irl as compared to what was shown online as q a few were marked out. There was also no wagyu beef donburi which we wanted to try when we went yesterday.

Bara Chirashi ($22) The chirashi is decent, yet nothing extraordinary. The fish roe given is generous, the sashimi are fresh, however, the portion is not as huge as I expected as it is quite pricey ($22); compared to the other dishes. For 1-for-1 offer, it is not a bad option, but I would not go for a full-price. I would think twice if I would like to visit again! Especially if the service team is still not friendly as per what I experienced during my first visit.

Never Coming Back Horrible don - quantity + quality of sashimi was bad and they covered the rice with diced up crab meat to try and mask how little sashimi they were giving! Waited approx 30 mins for the don although we were the first ones in the restaurant during lunch. Ordered the signature maki roll and it was the smallest, plainest maki I have ever seen and cost $22! Really overpriced and can’t see the quality at all. Salad bar was pathetic with 5-6 choices of mundane choices. After Maru’s menu changes, their prices went up, quality and quantity went down and that’s the reason for their downfall. Will never visit again.

Lousy Unagi Don One of the worst experiences ever. I’d been previously a few times and the food was good. But now that they’ve renovated and changed management, it’s pretty terrible. Ordered the pork with fried rice don. When it came, it was just plain rice. Staff then told me that they’ve changed the menu but didn’t update me that the rice was no longer fried rice. Also ordered the Unagi bowl and the unagi was dry and rubbery. Worse than what you can get at a hawker center. Don’t go here ever. Food is also expensive as all the dons are 20+ and portions are tiny.

delightful experience (-: the garlic rice was super amazing!!!!! and the cheese on the salmon was so shiok 💯💯💯 highly recommend the pork bowl (~$20) as well, very tasty and juicy 😆 if you like beef, the truffle beef bowl (~$22) is worth a try too, extremely tender and delicious (‘:

Strawberry Peppercorn Sorbet Refreshing end to the meal, with a beautiful yuzu peppercorn consommé that was the only alcohol we had that night. Loved the attention they put in to every fish. Probably a contender for one of the best meals this year amidst the madness of all our CB/HA/phase1-1000.

Cheese, Date, Sesame Tuile The dining buddy commented "Never have i seen a date so plump" to which I responded "I know you only go on dates with skinny ones". Jokes aside, that was indeed one plump date, which apparently cost $2 each according to the waiter. I don't know about you but I've never seen such an interesting random pairing of desserts that were just slapped together but somehow found beauty in their chaos.

Red Mullet Nice but otherwise simple mullet fish with what I believe was fish scales scorched in super hot oil.. that strangely resemble the texture of fingernails. The provencal bisque absolutely blew me away with the intensity of flavours.
