Toast (sour dough is so good!) with scrambled eggs. We wanted to try their Two-some fries but they ran out, so we make do with Truffléd fries. Satisfied our fries cravings. Old Fashion Brownie, brownie base, topped with vanilla ice cream 🍨 and their homemade salted caramel sauce drizzled over. That is one good dessert 😎

We wanted to go to Kim’s Family Restaurant but unfortunately they are close on the first and third Monday of the month. So we went to the next available Korean place, Woorinara! I was totally not expecting Somaek (A shot of soju mixed with a glass of beer) but well, it’s Monday, we do need some beer 😅 and some food to go along with. Kimchi soup is quite thick and has a strong kimchi flavours, very authentic. Grilled pork collars and beef, quite decent. Honestly, we got too carried away with the chit chat and drinking to cook the meat well. Seafood pancake, it is nice! It is not too thick and they are very generous with the amount of seafood that is spread out on the pancake. So delicious! And last but not least, steam egg. A homely flavour that is almost like a must have when you dine in Korean places, likewise their well selection of 9 side dishes. All is good. Drew a perfect end to a not-so-perfect Monday. Someone said meat so we went for meat meet! Morganfield’s sharing platters are perfect for gatherings! On top of the Ocean Feast, we had a few add ons! Truffle fries with Parmesan, our cheese and truffle lovers cannot stop! Sautéed Mushrooms, nicely done. Beer-battered Fish (no picture), crispy batter with well flavoured fillet. Oh so good. Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Lava Cake, too sweet but we couldn’t resist a good lava cake. Peanut Butter Mudslide, layers of chocolate and peanut butter, topped with brownie and vanilla ice cream, not as jerlat as I think it would be, good combination. Midweek dinner with @banana_km. I got excited and order away! Ngoh Hiang Hae Piang is still damn good, up the stairs on the left, it’s the first outstanding stall you’ll see! Followed by a 10 sticks of chicken satay from my childhood stall (from the back Ngoh Hiang Stall, the last stall towards the other side (nearer to the carpark)), love their pineapple and peanut sauce. And finally the BBQ Stingray that is beside the famous porridge stall. All on the left side of the food centre!

I have never thought that these two can go so well with each other! Coffee waffle base with duck confit topped apple ribbon/ruffle and sunny side up, accompanied with “coffeed” maple syrup. So damn good. Waffle has a slightly heavier fluff and chewy texture to it, the way I like it. Nicely done. The “coffed” maple syrup just got me sold. Duck confit has all that flavour locked in, just the right tenderness and slightly crispy skin. Very nice.
