Taste: Sweet, savoury, peppery and smoky. Slight hint of leather.

Finish: Medium long finish, with the lingering taste of smoke. Slightly salty.

Straight up easy to drink Bowmore. Nothing really outstanding but balanced.

Damn worth it! $8.90 for a full meal. With refillable drinks, salad, rice and of course the chicken.

Chicken is pretty tender, don't expect the crispy skin you get from Mr. Bean Cafe. Sticky teriyaki sauce, more sweet than savoury. Wedges are.. well wedges, crispy on the outside soft on the inside.

Would prefer if they had teriyaki sauce on the rice tho.
But nonetheless, a good affordable meal!

This isn't on the main menu, do ask for the traditional pasta menu when you are there.

Thats a whole lot of seafood in a pasta! Mussels, clams, squid rings, prawns and also salmon!

The sauce is savoury yet not too salty, a fine balance. Linguine was done al dente! Perfectly matched!

I forgot the exact price for this, prolly $20+ish.

The sweet and savoury sauce with a little spicy kick, and also the lemongrass, really brings out the appetite in you.

Served with instant noodles (i know, i know. But its really good). The wanton is just ~meh. Pork balls are fantastic, very dense. Minced meat on the fatty side (good to have). And they have fried pork lard in it! And an "onsen" egg.

Mix the egg and everything together, brings the instant noodle to a whole new silky level.

On the side, the must order beef balls.

Overall a good and satisfying meal!

Turkey and Ham from @conradsingapore - the best turkey and ham ive had. Turkey tender and juicy. Ham surprisingly not too salty, very flavourful. Both meats good without sauces! Kudos to them!

Rice bowl and Nachos from @mexout - very good rice bowl with pulled pork. Its like fireworks in your mouth. Would definitely go back and try other stuff. Very generous portion of guacamole and sourcream on the nachos too!Thanks for the awesomeness!

The set meal that makes me full. Haha.
First time having Saboten as a few of my friends told me its the best i could find in singapore.

The Pork Loin Katsu is pretty good! Very tender and juicy. Crispy on the outside.

The cabbage is great! Served cold. I dont eat veg usually, but this is so refreshing! Especially with the sesame sauce.

The service tho, was bad. Seems like they lack manpower. Took me 5mins to get my drinks refilled.

The food standard is good, no doubt. But i still prefer Imakatsu at Star Vista for the overall package of food and service.

Nose: Sweet vanilla and cotton candy. White grapes and green apple. Not as smoky as I would expect an octomore to be.

Taste: The peat is more noticeable. Oily, smoky, oaky, marshmallow and bitter oranges.

Finish: Dry, smoky and ashy. Long lasting.

A well-rounded dram definitely.

At Flaming Don, Bugis+. Had high expectations for this place. But sadly this dish was kinda meh~

Beef is pretty tough. Doneness seems to be medium well or even well done. Would have been alot better if it was at least medium.

Sauce was a tad on the saltier side.

Upsize was well worth it. Alot more compared to the norm.

I would come back to try the signature tenderloin cubes. I hope its gonna be good.

Bruichladdich, The Classic Laddie, Scottish Barley.

Nose: Apples, Orange, Honey, Mint, and a whiff of lemon.

Taste: More lemons, vanilla, honey and a little smoky.

Finish: Long and lingering. Oily definitely.

One of the best soy sauce chicken i'vehad.Smooth and silky skin, tender and soft meat.

The noodles is, meh.

Char Siew isn't bad. But not the best tho. Will choose Fatty Cheong any other day.

I'll come back just for the chicken but not the noodles.

Won't go outta my way just to eat this.

A great flight, with my favourite being the Fettercairn 875.

The nose is very grainy. Silver polish. Malt. Peach and oranges with loads of floral elements.

Oily on the palate. Very malty. Dried fruits and a hint of honey.

The finish is medium long and a little spicy with a hint of oak.
