The portions were huge! After sharing an appetizer and main dish amongst 2, we were stuffed.

The sauce for the meatballs were really salty but goes really nicely with the sourdough toast. Food and ambience was great! Truffle fries were light on the truffle scent but I’m okay with that.

Ordered this during CB! Their char siew was phenomenal!!! Soft, fatty, caramelized meat without being cloying. Rice was fragrant and nicely done.

Went for dinner at Two Bakers with some friends, and I chose the bulgogi steak don. So freaking fatty, soft and soooooooo delicious. The side of onsen egg, spinach and mushrooms went beautifully with the rice. My friend had the steak & mash, but it wasn’t as soft as the bulgogi steak don.

We also ordered their baileys cold brew but the baileys was too mild, and had their har cheong gai drumlets but that dish was unmemorable.

Ordered 2 scoops of ice cream - pistachio and fig & honey. Both flavors were great!

The menu was so extensive here that my date and I had to take our time to scrutinize before finally deciding on these!

We ordered an appetizer to share, calamari e gamberi fritti, which is a basket of deep-fried shrimps and calamari. Freshly fried and absolutely yummy!

I decided on the gnocchi bolognese - my first time trying gnocchi. The pasta was chewy and dense, yet softer than a classic tteokbokki. The sauce was tangy and savory. Not bad.

My date had their risotto al funghi. Mushrooms were good! At the end of the meal, there was not a single grain left on his plate. The lady boss joked that she doesn’t have to wash it hehehe.

A very homey, welcoming space. I’d love to return and try other dishes here! Remember to make a rsvp before heading down :)

I love chilli pan mee, and this store offers the classic chilli pan mee — but you could opt to add either fried chicken, fish or pork to your meal.

I had the pan mee with fried pork ($6.80) and boy........was I blown away by the pork. Amazing, freshly fried pork belly. It was a tad too fatty, but everything was so soft and juicy, and the fat melted in my mouth. It’s so terribly sinful and so wonderfully succulent at the same time.

Noodles were not bad. What I LOVE is that they topped it with fried garlic pieces! Chilli was nothing to scream about though. I regret mixing the entire chilli in... everything was too spicy and greasy from the chilli oil.

The place was in a hawker setting, limited seats and very smokey. Your hair will not smell great after this.

Would I eat this again? Absolutely.

I love the setting of this cafe! Comfy seats and wall plugs available for customers. I ordered a cup of iced hojicha koffee with regular sugar. The drink was bittersweet. Very mild coffee aroma, which complemented the strong roasted hojicha tea. It’s a pretty solid drink. My sweet tooth would prefer if it’s sweeter though!

My friend got one of the traditional ceremonial teas. It was so thick (with the consistency of a milkshake), I can only imagine how bitter this tea was.. Definitely a choice for people who enjoy quality tea!

Got the mentaiko prawn sambal pasta — I love their choice of capellini noodles! Very unique and delicious, but also very oily. The portion is really big; I would think to share this!

We also ordered a side of truffle fries ($14) where the truffle dip is served separately. Wasn’t as fragrant as it was when I tried in the past 😔 ended up packing this to go cause it was too much for my friend and I!

Oily, spicy and mouth numbing - all things I love in a bowl of sinful mala. Pork slices were alright, nothing special. Noodles were cooked perfectly. Tomato wasn’t strong but provided a hint of sweetness.

Finallyyy got to try the famed 5 Guys burgers! Ordered a bacon-cheese dog ($14), bacon-cheeseburger ($17) and a regular cajun fries ($9). Do note that fries come in five guys style or cajun spiced; they would give five guys style if you don’t specifically request for any! For the toppings, we chose “All the way” + raw onions, along with jalapeños on the side.

Food came hot - Burger patty was juicy, bacon was crispy and veggies were fresh. Only gripe for the bacon cheeseburger would be that the patty and cheese had strong flavors, overwhelming the rest of the ingredients. The dog-variant was a perfect stack though; you could taste the many layers of vegetables, bacon, sausage, cheese and sauces. I also loved that their fries had potato skin intact, but the fries seemed to lack a dimension to its flavor. Nevertheless I still enjoyed the fries as a side!

Overall it was a very heavy meal for me and my partner. I couldn’t finish the food! Maybe when I return I’d skip the cheese in my burger and stick to their little-burger versions instead. A side note - the bottom buns do soak in all the moisture so it would end up soggy if you don’t eat fast enough.

When you arrive, you have to look for a seat, just like any other fast food joints. They pack your food in takeaway bags even if you’re dining in.

1) Basil beef rice - Pretty alright beef, the seasoning is pretty yummy!
2) Green milk tea - Fragrant tea and right sweetness

Also a tip: Avoid their seafood options (very meager portions & frozen seafood) esp their tomyum fried rice!! Looks like egg fried rice instead lol. Idk how such a simple dish can turn out so bland.
