Healthy bowls Healthy rice bowls priced rather decently by CBD standards. Got a salmon bowl with teriyaki sauce. By the time I got there, one of the sides was unavailable but I was happy to get more long beans! Good portions that aren’t too filling as well. Best part was the salmon, obviously, as it was torched perfectly. Teriyaki sauce wasn’t too sweet, which is a plus. You might want to come down earlier because the queue is super long during peak hour!

Munchi MJK I'm so glad able to get @munchipancakes min jiang kueh here which is their collaboration with @ahlocknco The MJK is thicc, fluffy, with soft chewy texture & is very moist. They are super generous with the fillings & the fillings all not overly sweet! The Red Bean is super smooth, Peanut is chunky, savoury & creamy, Black Sesame is very earthy & the Coconut is moist.

Scallop and Prawn Pasta This dish is filled with fresh seafood goodness and seems like a crowd favourite among the reviews posted online. This dish is a little salty for me but nevertheless it is still a great plate of Al Dente pasta. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The lamb is not gamey at all, and seasoning is on point. Mocha - Caffeine was rather light and had a more chocolatey taste, would prefer it more intense. [6.5/10]

Breakfast sammy - Spam was crispy but a tad too salty. - Egg sauce was fragrant with chives but very creamy rich, which got too heavy for me towards the end of half a sandwich 🍳 [7/10]

Caprese grilled cheese - Combination of cheddar and american cheese gave an ultimate savouriness, with tomatoes and basil cutting the greasiness well. - Caramelised onions gave a touch of sweetness! - Sourdough was freshly toasted till crunchy and crisp on the surface, thicker than the brioche above 🍞 [7.5/10]

Honey butter latte The signature honey butter latte ($5.50) is equally delectable. Ask for less sweet - otherwise the sweetness tends to be a bit too overpowering. The espresso at Mad Roaster is noticeably well balanced with light hints of acidity and bitterness that can still be appreciated despite the honey butter flavoring. The honey butter flavour itself is delicious - very toasty and buttery. Reminds me of butter pecan. 5/5.

Great teh o Slightly more expensive than other coffee stalls at $2.60 for teh o bing. But I feel it’s worth the additional expense. The teh o is fragrant with very slight acidity (doesn’t have the “siap” taste that is associated certain teh os). There is a hint of floral notes reminiscent of jasmine tea. Very pleasant even as a teh o kosong

Good Kopi-o made with an espresso machine $1.9 And appreciate that the cup is more secure than the usual ones. But do feel that coffee places that don’t offer the option of ceramic cups for dine-in are missing something. Noticed most customers were ordering the ang moh coffee options so shall have to try that next time

Spicy seafood aglio olio 26++ As far as cafe aglios go, this is quite good. The bite of the pasta is what you would expect for a cafe. They're too short tho, very hard to pick up w fork. Kaffir lime guava strawberry 5.5++ This is a masterpiece. Properly crispy and airy on the top and dense enough with some chew at the bottom of the pastry. The sauce is absolutely stunning too. Super strong, incredibly fruity but the strength is cleverly balanced out by the cream Well thought out, well executed, high quality ingredients and very satisfying. Not to mention it's not too greasy Must try. Get this to takeaway tho, why spend money just for eating there

Best Seafood Still my fav place for seafood done fusion style

Chendol 12++ Nothing special at all, the coconut sorbet was good, and the chendol had more bite than normal as well as seaweed inside. But the Maldon sea salt wasn't applied evenly and that made some parts very salty. Feel like a lot of stuff here is overpriced and with the cafe-esque decor it's really hard to convince myself to fork out high end restauarant prices, even though their menu is interesting. I guess you're paying for the knowledge and the novelty but the taste isn't particularly stellar(I didn't try any of the super ex seafood but this was alr 60 bucks)

Hokkaido Latte ($2.70) I bought original pricing as I didn't wanted to wait until the deal start. :") so I felt that the drink less milk but more coffee taste contain.

Hokkaido Milk Coffee ($1) (up : $2.70) I didn't expected that they releases canned version for drink but I didn't have no time to go their cafe at jurong area. But the drink was slightly milky and less coffee taste (not that strong). I wish that I got time to head to suzuki cafe 🫡

Auki Matcha Fujiro It's my favourite swiss roll 👁👄👁🤌 I decided to try Auzki Matcha Fujiro ($7.80) without takeaway and I always enjoy dessert so much 💕 thank you uncle for accompanying me to talk with me even thought its just small talk 😅 I really like matcha cream was not that thick but I just accept it 👍 red bean is not thick and a bit of it is enough for non-red bean lovers till nxt time for more & more swiss roll.

Swiss Rolls Finally tried @sweetscraftsman's swiss rolls that looked cute and were yummy too! We enjoyed how they were light and fluffy in texture and how they were not too sweet too! My favourite flavours are Tieguanyin, black sesame and yuzu 😋

Kulto cheesecake ($16) Gooey, oozy cheesecake with a thin bottom crumble layer. Savory, tangy, and nutty from the mix of different cheeses. Paired with refreshing tangy raspberry sorbet (wished there was more of this for better balance to cut through the richness). Have seen many comparing this to Olivia’s cheesecake but Olivia’s rendition remains the reigning champion for me, inching out in terms of complexity and refinement.

Crab croquette Crispy edges with creamy and spicy chili crab filling. If nitpicking, would have appreciated more crab meat.

Squid ink paella Savory and flavourful squid ink paella with strong umami notes. Texture of the rice was great with nice Socarrat from the edges. Also enjoyed the fresh and tender assortment of squid, clams, mussels, and fish. Would be keen to try their seafood paella next!
