Stay tune for more pics Hehehe
Many hokkien families and elderly Chinese love this ่ๅญๅทrestro . Thumbs up !
Food here is generally decent . < yes I realised the misspelling on the pic itself ๐>
There weren't many lower to mid range Hk restro back then and we love the food here..the char siew shown here is one reason why people would que for at their new location ( orchard gateway ) sliced thinly, it is tender with both lean n fatty parts n nicely glazed with honey sauce . U gotta try their noodles as well .. I can go on n on bout this place coz I have been patronizing them since young :)
๐๐ but no that was longan .. I got too adventurous and decided to get the buns ( about $4.50 in a pack of 5) think dried longans with bread .. It didn't sit well with me . The pumpkin loaf on the other hand is soft and has generous pumpkin paste ! (About $4.00 a loaf ) . It's hard to go wrong with duke bakery breads but I guess longan paste is not for me ..
How much ? $28 ..shared by 3 of us ( cos we have stuffed ourselves with before this ..see previous posts ๐) I wouldn't be back to three buns any sooner ..
@_alextoh_ 's dinner sometime back ...beef was tender ..but he didn't quite fancy the herbal soup that came with the noodles ๐
Finally visited this bakery after Potato head folk dinner the other night . I love the cute roller handle of their door and the selection of baked goods and tarts . This is a pool of gooey salted caramel kept in a hard crust tart. I almost thought I might lose a tooth or two biting into it . The gooey caramel slipped and fell out of its casing when it was being transported in a box on our ( @crappysotong bought one too ๐) way home . Will retune to try their other selection . ( guy whom we suspect to be the boss makes a great sales person promoting his goods )
