Good pizza and bites Enjoyed my meal at Yeast Side. The crust mid wings were crispy, juicy and the Queen Margherita had a chewy crust with well balanced flavours. Overall a nice vibe, friendly service and a good craft beer. Would recommend!

Good hangout spot Had a great time at Yeast Side! We tried their signature Queen Margherita pizza which had an airy crust and well balanced with tomato and cheese. Their crispy mid wings were crunchy and well seasoned. Perfect spot for hanging out with friends / family over some craft beer too!

Milk Cheesecake 9++ Kind of like ice cream almost, it's alright but not stunning in any way. Girl liked it tho Overall this place is very overpriced esp since burpple beyond is not very useful here, plus the waiting time is ridiculous. I have to say there aren't many Caribbean places yet tho, so given how this is more authentic than Limehouse they probably have some advantage for a while.

Pulpo Gallego 19++ I really liked this. There's a certain heat but the flavours are absolutely intense. It's braised octopus with chorizo and raisins. The octopus is pretty chewy but it's used brilliantly by pairing it w an intense sauce and cutting it into small chunks so the bite actually works. There's a certain heat to it too and the thyme? Bread which was crumbly worked passably w it. Not very worth it given the size but I adored this dish

Jerk Ckn 13++ THE BURPPLE BEYOND DEAL IS JUST FOR A FREE FRIED DISH, NOT ANYTHING ON THE MENU Pretty worth it, solid portion for the price. there's a bit of the spices that's reminiscent of the Cajun spices, but otherwise this dish is really hot.

Minced Pork Rice Bowl My first and last time at The Salted Plum. They were very generous with the minced pork. But a rice bowl + drink costs $15 which i find it too pricey

Best Place For Comforting Taiwanese Food So gutted to hear that TSP will be closing soon😢 this place served up some real good comforting taiwanese dishes that is perfect for rainy days. Favourites here were: Burnt Chili Chicken, Braised Cabbage, Lor Bak, Tofu with Century Egg! Will miss this place alot!!

Taiwanese Inspired Meal \\ Braised Beef Shortplate Sliced Braised Beef in Spicy Sesame Sauce with Pickled Ginger. I don't eat beef but my dining partners all mention that this was good and a little spicy. \\ Fried Chicken Fried Chicken with five spices, preserved orange and calamansi. This just tastes like popcorn chicken with dried orange skin and powdered with plum, salt, pepper and spices. The chicken is tender and succulent while the seasoning makes it very addictive. \\ Sautéed Cod Fish with Bean Paste Fried Cod Fish with Shiitake Mushrooms in Dou Ban Jiang Sauce. This was a little dry and did not fared as well as compared to the other dishes. \\ Lu Rou Signature Braised Pork Belly with Chinese Angelica Root (Dang Gui) in Haus Sauce. The pork belly is braised for at least 10 hours in an aromatic mix of spices before being transformed into a thick and savoury gravy. The slab of pork belly is tender, fatty and gelatinous that requires minimal effort to chew before it melts in the mouth.  Thanks to Burpple Beyond, we get to enjoy four $15 Ala Carte Dish for the price of 2 ✌ (U.P $60)

$30 nett For Two Don Set Popped by Gyunami for lunch with my friend, and the standard of their Signature wagyu roast beef don is still as good as when I had it 2 years back! Portion size may look small but underneath the slices of tender wagyu roast beef, there’s a lot of rice. The highlight is definitely the thin slices of wagyu roast beef. It’s super tender, perfectly medium rare and goes very well with everything! Gotta appreciate the artful arrangement of the meat slices on top of the rice too 💯 The set comes with complimentary miso soup – taste was okay, nothing too extraordinary. There’s not much lunch crowd on weekdays so you don’t have to queue 😊

Don Lechon Very tender lechon

Lechon Sisig @ $16 Returned again to Don Lechon, my favourite Lechon store in SG. Always wanted to try the Lechon Sisig, but scared it will be too much for me. Served in a hot plate, with chopped bits of lechon with chillies, lime, egg, onions etc etc. The first few mouthful were very good. But started to get a bit too greased out for me and was struggling to finish this. Best to eat in a group to share.

Chopped Lechon ($23/42, 1/2 or 1 Kg), Milkfish Sinigang ($14) Only after working for 3 years around the area we find ourselves having this lip-smacking Filipino pork belly. I guess never too late? Some might prefer the Chinese crackling skin against the flat crunchy skin of Lechon but the pork meat was absolutely delicious. An order of the Milkfish Sinigang helps balance the meat galore with a tangy stew; also the milkfish is soft but I suggest avoiding the skin that reminds you of the fish’s life form in a stale water body.

Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl Thick, tender and succulent pieces of chicken with lightly charred skin then topped with bonito flakes and chopped scallions. I feel that this lacks flavour or I prefer it to have a stronger teriyaki taste. Same as their braised pork rice, it wasn’t served hot. Top up $1.50 for an addition of sous vide egg 》$8 + $1.50 Sous Vide Egg

Braised Pork (Lor Bak) Rice Bowl Chunks of braised pork infused with rich and savoury flavours, topped with bonito flakes and chopped scallions. While the overall was not oily compared to the usual braised pork rice outside, I find that the rice was a little on the dry side and it wasn’t served hot. Ma La Pork Collar Mee Tai Mak It's hard not to like one-bowl dishes, and when I tried this, I was further impressed. In short, this is zhng-ed hawker food - in the best sense of that description. You're aware you're eating hawker food, but everything's enhanced. Flavour here is more accurately spicy-sour. Meat was like Japanese chashu. Unfortunately mtm doesn't let the sauce coat well. Inferior to the braised pork noodle but still good.

The spice level of your curry can be adjusted according to your preference. We hear that Level 3 is quite mild, so opt for Level 4 and up if you're a spicehead! Chicken Katsu & Ebi Fry Set ($8.80) Craving thick creamy Japanese curry and tempura? For the price, this meal was pretty dang good! Generous in portion and not too oily for how crisp the batter was! It was perfectly flaky on the outside and juicy on the inside. YUM. Also the curry had a level from 1-4, 4 being the spiciest. I opted for level 3 and it was alright. If you like something spicier, go for 4.

Traditional Prawn Noodle ($5.90) Affordable, no-frills, satisfying! If you’re around town and crave prawn noodles, check this spot out! They offer both dry or soup options and I opted for the latter. The soup was flavourful enough and the portions were pretty generous. Came with three prawns and a couple of pork slices. Pretty alright for the price and convenient location!

Vongole Ppong | $20.90++ Mild spicy. Cooked with briny clams, white wine and fragrant garlic, this will have you dreaming of the seaside. Back then when I ate, it was very good however I think they have changed their noodles as it’s a bit starchy now. However the broth was flavourful and seafood portion was generous.

Beef Cha-ppong Beef Cha-ppong from @nipongnaepongsg is always so comforting and I especially like how there's a beef option for when I don't feel like eating seafood plus you get to choose the spicy level too! 😋
