Kyudai Don ($28.90)
A voluminous bowl of rice topped with an onsen egg and six different ingredients - namely the Mentaiko Salmon, Wagyu Beef, Garlic Parmesan Chicken, Dak Gang Jeong, Sio Bak and Salted Egg Tempura. My favourite out of all has got to be the sous vide salmon! It was moist and flaky, and when paired with the torched mentaiko sauce, it simply melted in my mouth π€€ The other ingredients did not pale in comparison as well, as all of them packed a punch and were incredibly tasty! My least favourite has got to be the salted egg tempura though; the vegetables (eggplant, enoki mushrooms, okra and sweet potato) were nicely fried in the tempura batter. However, the salted egg powder which was used to coat these tempura was not strong and flavourful enough and hence the tempura tasted a little boring on its own. It would have been ideal if they were to provide a dipping sauce for the tempura too.
This humongous sized bowl of don is good for sharing among two to four people. Overall, I would say that it is worth every single cent as not only is the portion generous, it's quality food that you're getting at a coffeeshop! ππΌπ
with my all-time favourite chocorock sauce ππΌπ
Monster Matcha ($8.90) with Matcha and Thai Milk Tea Ice-cream ($3.80 for a single scoop, $6.20 for double scoops)
Ordered 2 scoops of icecream to accompany this soft-centred cookie, which was both moist and buttery. It had a crisp exterior, and bursts with warm matcha lava when the ice cream plops onto the cookie - how satisfying (to watch)!!!! π The matcha lava filling had a distinct matcha taste and was incredibly divine π€€ Both scoops of icecream were not too sweet, and complemented the lava cookie really well. I strongly recommend ordering the matcha lava cookie with the thai milk tea icecream - a truly ideal combination ππΌ
Choc-A-Lot ($8.90) with Milo Dinosaur Icecream ($3.80 for a scoop)
The cookie was both soft and chewy, with the ever rich and decadent chocolate lava filing which flowed out of the cookie the moment the ice cream came into contact with it. I absolutely LOVED the molten chocolate filling - it's perfect for those with a sweet tooth! Sadly, I kinda picked the wrong icecream flavour as the milo dinosaur icecream did not match the lava cookie as well as I expected it to.
The staff there were really friendly and enthusiastic, which made my visit to this cafe an even more pleasant one! I will definitely be back to try the other lava cookies and icecream flavours πΌπ»βΊοΈ
The hazelnut chocolate filling was so rich and decadent, with crispy bits (which tasted a little like rice crackers?) encased within the fluffy pancake, adding a nice crunch that accompanied every single bite π This is definitely my favourite pancake flavour out of all the other mr bean pancakes! Priced at $1.80, I believe this is an affordable sweet treat that could very well satisfy one's craving for chocolate π«ππΌ
smooth and creamy matcha cream with sweet azuki beans sandwiched between two mini pancakes. The matcha cream was not overly sweet and yet had a strong matcha taste, while the pancakes were SO soft and dense! yum, I'd definitely be back for this π
The maki in focus is the Shiok Maki Generation 2 (with fried tempura prawn) while the one behind is the Shiok Maki Generation 1 (with grilled unagi). Both are priced at $16.80++ for 8 pieces of maki.
These maki are topped with a thick cut of aburi salmon and crunchy tobiko (flying fish roe), and are drenched in an excessive amount of their secret housemade sauce, which tastes like a rich and cheesy blend of mentaiko and mayonnaise. The sauce is undoubtedly the component that makes this maki so amazingly delectable, as it is extremely creamy and addictive! π€€ This is hands down one of my favourite places to dine at whenever I need to satisfy my maki cravings β¨π
A multigrain bun studded with dried cranberries and mini pumpkin chunks, and dusted with some flour on the top of the bun. It tasted more sweet than savoury! One of my favourite buns from Four Leaves π
my first time getting llao llao in a small cup as I usually buy the large cup or sanum. was actually feeling v v full after lunch but I still wanted to satisfy my craving so...... HAHA. got the cookie sauce instead of my usual chocorock sauce too, yum! π
Taro Paste (Orh Nee) Pancake from Mr Bean as one of their #singafour series flavours. This was absolutely divine - the paste was incredibly molten and flowy, and it wasn't overly sweet as well. Just how I like it to be! ππ€€
Price: $2.20 per pancake, $5.20 for 3. It's $1.70 if you purchase it with a drink! π
"Keep cool in the mid-day heat with the new Irish Cream Coffee Pudding Frappuccino. Our signature coffee Frappuccino is layered on top creamy coffee pudding. It is then topped with espresso whipped cream and complete with a sprinkle of espresso dust."
The drink itself is sweet, while the coffee pudding tasted distinctly bitter. Definitely a must-try drink for coffee fans! This is more of a sweet treat, but the bitterness from the pudding kinda balances it out. Would give this a 3.5/5 π
"The new Matcha Earl Grey Jelly Frappuccino that will make your taste buds sing. The drink starts off with a layer of aromatic Earl Grey jelly and fluffy whipped cream. Creamy Green Tea Frappuccino thatβs been swirled with Earl Grey syrup is then layered on top. We then finish the drink with more whipped cream and a dusting of green tea powder."
A perfect drink for those with a sweet tooth (like myself), even though I find it a little too milky for my liking. Nevertheless, the earl grey infusion was perfect - loved how the hint of earl grey complemented this matcha drink really well! I'd give this a 4.5/5 ππΌ
