Perfect sweets for an afternoon like this. I took away the tart and have it at home when it was still chilled. It tasted a bit like Ferrero Rocher but way better than it!

Toasted very properly (not like Tiong Bahru Bakery)
Croissant came with very nice butter and it’s always better to have it there rather than take out and heat it up yourself.

Iced latte ($6) is a bit disappointed compared to the croissant. It’s in a plastic bottle and doesn’t look like freshly made (have the date of that day on it tho) but tastes very nice. The big disappointment was I carried my latte bottle with me and head to my next destination and it leaked latte in my bag. So as I say, always have it there rather than take away 😭

I had a gourmet lunch set ($15.90 + Top up $1.80 for cappuccino) with Tuna Baguette Sandwich, Chocolate Croissant, and Cappuccino.

Sandwich is freshly made, very nice.
Chocolate croissant is what I expected.
Cappuccino is like the worst coffee I had for the month. Coffee lover, you might want to just take out the bread and have it with some legit caffe.

Beef is good. Rice is normal a bit dry. No veggies. Waiting time is a bit long and the owner won’t tell you in advance that you need to wait...

Croissant from Tiong Bahru Bakery with butter and jam $3 and iced latte $7.5.
Remember to ask the staff to warm the croissant for you.

I don’t recommend Egg Benedict with steak ($20). I expect a simple, elegant egg Benedict but what I got is spicy sweet potato and sweet steak, and only warm but not hot. Might be good for someone who like different heavy taste in the same plate, but for me I will just go for latte and croissant (warm with butter and jam) for a perfect Saturday breakfast.

Iced latte $7.5
Croissant $3, from Tiong Bahru Bakery
Orange juice $8, a bit pricey but legit

They may not meet today's 'gourmet burger' standards, they may not have artisanal bread, but damn these boys do burgers that are consistently yummy. Then patties may be medium well, but they're juicier and tastier than many gourmet burgers I've tried; buns are fluffy and soft enough; and the cheese is always — ALWAYS — melted. Whenever I want a fool-proof greasy and smacking burger, Fat Boy's got my back.

Roast beef wholemeal sandwich (double) with regular black tea chai for $8. Pretty worth it for the food quality. Cafe ambience is quite interesting - it's located at the Sports Lifestyle Centre @ Bukit Merah. Good outdoor chill out for small groups.

Decent but could do with a more robust salted egg custard. Toasties ($4) are very decent for the price.

What could be better then drinking good coffee ☕️ and eating red velvet cake 🎂 ?!

Stumbled upon this place while out running errands - Super crisp toast with homemade kaya, and perhaps the most fabulous teh I've had thus far 😍. Really fresh eggs too! ($4.10 for the set)

This dish had me at heirloom rendang (okay, maybe the recommended icon on the menu too 😅) and I'm really glad I ordered this.

The beef slabs fell apart effortlessly and the delectable gravy drenched the Japanese rice underneath too. I liked the Peranakan achar on the side, as well as the contrasting relief provided by the slaw. Can't really say the same for the zuke pickles, so I will probably request to omit or substitute it with the zippier red cabbage and apple slaw next time.
