Got to try this monster of a milkshake at Black Tap recently! This Sweet & Salty Milkshake ($22++) which comes with a blend of vanilla ice-cream and peanut butter, chock-filled with Reese Cups and M&Ms, and then drizzled with caramel all over is all your childhood dreams come true. You could be selfish and have it all by yourself (with the prospect of diabetes ahead) but it’s definitely one for sharing with friends.

Their signature drink ($5.30h which comes with a mix of boba and pearls (basically big and small pearls) definitely lived up to expectations. The boba/pearls were hands down the softest I ever had and if you’re not much of a sweet tooth, you’d be pleased to know the sugar level was not overbearing. However, that was also my only qualm as I would have preferred more sweetness to my brown sugar. Otherwise, all in all, I’d definitely come back for another cup.

Jinjja Wings Party Set ($49.90). A fan who loves Korean chicken, I love the fact that this lived up to the standard they serve in Korea.

Personally, I enjoyed their 913 King’s Oolong Tea Latte ($3.50/$4.90, M/L) that gave me a post-afternoon perk that I needed. Despite going 100% sugar, you can sure look forward to finishing this drink without feeling overly cloyed.

Brazen Beef ($32.90++)
You can just cut through this premium striploin with a knife like butter (they didn’t serve steak knives here btw). I chose their Truffle Jus as a sauce, and the result? Juicy, tender and absolutely full of flavour, especially the Truffle Jus which did not overpower the beef at all. I’m definitely coming back for this.

Smoked Duck ($26.90++). If you’ve never had duck or never liked duck, you should give this a try to change your mind. It looks deceptively simple in terms of preparation but the flavours along with the sauce are nothing short of a burst of flavours in your mouth. As a result, it doesn’t have that much of game-y taste that you’d expect normally from duck.

With these price points, you can definitely expect this to be worth it.

My only honest and major complaint? For a restaurant that’s looking to present itself as (near) fine dining. It’s a real shame that they use salad soaked in vinaigrette as a side, as it absolutely does not complement the meats at all. I can think of a few other vegetables that would fit such as broccolini or grilled asparagus for example. But that’s just my two cents. All in all, it was very pleasant experience and worth coming back.

While there are a lot of different halal options in Singapore, it’s not common to find good, tasty AND halal Korean food. But I found one when I checked out @jinjjachicken ‘s latest outlet at Changi Airport Terminal 2 @changiairport .
