Ordered the chilli crab spaghetti and unlikely other fusion dishes that ultimately disappoint, this dish was pleasantly tasty with the asian flavours to it yet was so well cooked into a western dish.
Had the chawanmushi $5 and unagi don ($24 on half price promo)
Have to say that im not impressed with the unajyu as the unagi was slightly slimey likely because they did not grill with charcoal. Nevertheless, rice was nicely cooked and of high quality.
The collagen soup base was thick and flavourful. Meat were fresh and shrimp paste tasty. Enjoyed my lunch here on a weekend as it was so much quieter than HDL and service was prompt.
Tried many 喜饼 places and this is one of my fav. The sweet tau sar pia is the best. Pastry is soft and flaky and the filling not too sweet. Peanut candy was fresh and crispy, not too much malt candy that made it too sticky.
Queued 30mins on Thursday night for this. $15.20 after all the gst. Expected the autumn ramen to be full of umami, after all its supposed to have bonito. Was rather disappointed with the broth. It was thick but flavours weren’t deep or rich. Nevertheless the service was amazing.
Food was ok but they weirdly take a very long time to prepare this considering there wasnt a need to cook anything. Waited about 30mins for food to come. Otherwise egg is as fresh as they claimed it to be. But this small bowl of rice with a few pieces of salmon for $8.80++ is rather ex. Wished it was $2 cheaper.
If you are tired of queuing up for putien, do give this restaurant a try. Seems like their food is rather similar to putien and makes me wonder if the chef used to work there. Nevertheless, it is worth a try
Was really hyped up about this korean fishcake store but was disappointed on my first mouth. Fishcake was cold and soggy and the oil made me slightly gerlad. Wish they offer to fry on the spot to make it warm
Its a little ulu but great for a quiet date night with great ambience. Whats special here is that they have a fusion menu such as hokkien mee pasta and rib eye steak with horfun. Definitely worth a try!
Used the chope voucher for 15% discount for $58++ per adult for weekend lunch dim sum buffet. The shao rou was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender. Had 10 pieces to myself still wished i had more. The rest of the dim sum were ok. Would. Visit again only if using the voucher as choices are really pretty limited.
This store lives up to their name or buta god. The slice pork and charsiew were the highlight of the ramen. The charsiew had a nice smokey taste and was soft and tender. Noodles were al dente but the soup was a tad too sweet for my liking and lacking the depth or umami that other ramen broth have.
This little store is not only worth visiting for their kaya toast, but their zi char menu is equally good. Highly recommend their homemade tofu and specialty chicken. Do pop by one day for lunch or dinner for a quick zi char meal
