Jasmine Roasted Duck 1/4 @$16++ Char is now relocated to 454 Race Course Road. Other then their signature Char Siew, this Roasted Duck is rather not bad. Skin was slightly crispy and the meat was tender and not dry whatsoever.

Good roast pork but stick to the char siew! Char also serves a good roast pork but unlike the char siew, it's really hard to justify paying so much more when you can get comparable roast pork elsewhere.

Affordable and authentic My usual go to for Thai food if I’m around the area. Garlic pork is fragrant and juicy, while the garlic is nice like garlic chips. Lemongrass fish gravy is very tasty as soup, usually would not order Tom yum soup if I ordered this.

French bean 11nett Rather oily but the Minced meat was nice and seasoning was again on the lighter Side. The French beans were younger i believe(or maybe a different variety from the ones we are used to) , so thinner and crunchy as it should be

Salmon Sashimi (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) These insanely thick-cut slabs (or chunks, for that matter) will set you back for $16 a plate, but the rich fattiness and melt-in-the-mouth texture of the fresh salmon slices was to die for! The sweet mirin/soy sauce marinate makes it even more decadent though it can get quite surfeiting due to the thickness, so it's best shared with your friends!⁣

Chicken Curry Katsu (⭐️⭐️⭐️) The Chicken Katsu Curry is also decent with a crispy chicken cutlet and robust curry sauce, though a larger portion & more veggies other than the sad carrot smidgens would have made the dish even better.

Mentai Don (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Can't go wrong with their Salmon Mentaiko Don either! The salmon slices were well seared on the outside while slightly raw on the underside, and the smoky char on the mentaiko sauce elevated the umami flavours.

Yummy hongkong food One of my go to when I visit town for hong Kong food! This bread is the kind of comfort food that I like, especially when the bread is slightly toasted.

Crispy Polo Egg Tart 脆皮菠蘿蛋撻 ($2.30) It's my favourite from three egg tart <3 and quite flaky and also crispy texture on the tart. I didn't expected that their egg crust to be thin and also egg tart filling itself to be too much also. :") but the egg tart taste was quite strong as I thought and did reheat it on the oven.

Laksa Cheese Fries ($14) Fries topped with laksa gravy, runny egg, oozy mozzarella, prawns and fried beancurd strips .

Golden Sand Chicken & Waffle ($20) Creamery butter sauce coated Southern fried chicken served with crisp buttermilk waffle and topped with golden sand .

The Beast Nasi Lemak Burger ($22) Southern fried chicken thigh smothered with house-made sambal topped with a runny egg, sandwiched between deep fried fragrant coconut rice “buns”, served with a side of luncheon meat fries .

Claypot Hokkien Mee $16.5 What this Hokkien Mee lacks in wok hei, it more than made up for in terms of portion size and ingredients. Meant for 3, our order could easily feed 4 of us. Besides the unique distinction of being cooked in a claypot, the Hokkien Mee here is also brimming with sotong and lala clams. And in-lieu of pork lard - gloriously crispy chunks of salty pork belly crowning the noodles. Speaking of the noodles, these are of the wetter variety, which was a plus point because the broth was flavourful, imbuing the combination of yellow noodles and beehoon with umami. Some might bemoan the absence of smokiness, but I didn't miss it here. The accompanying sambal and limes enhanced the enjoyment further, with bursts of spice and zestiness to break up the monotony of the soft noodles.

Wok hei hokkien mee $4 This Hokkien mee was so much better than when I had it a few years ago! Got wok hei, flavourful stock. Haven’t tried it since then cos I eat at the other Hokkien mee stall anyway. But now that it tastes so good, I know where to go when I want a different style! Average Hokkien Mee The portion is small (I say this as a small eater) so definitely don’t get the $4 one 😅 it was ok but it felt like the stock they use just wasn’t tasty enough to produce a solid Hokkien mee? it was well fried tho, not too dry/wet and noodles were not soggy. Note that it doesn’t come with pork lard - kind of a deal breaker for me. I was lucky and got my order really quick but I heard that the wait could be long sometimes.

Thai version of white Wantan mee For lovers of “white” Wantan Mee instead of the ubiquitous black or red versions, you don’t have that many choices over on this side of the Singapore/Malaysian borders. Soi 19 is therefore one option even though it is not your usual Chinese version of Wantan Mee. For one thing, Soi 19’s wantan mee consists of lean dark char siew and grilled sausages. And they do not have the option to add chilli sauce into the noodles, as with most Thai Wantan Mee. The plate I got at this Soi 19 outlet met my expectations of the brand. Not exactly like what you can get from the Pratunam stall where Soi 19’s name came from, but good enough to keep diehard fans like me satisfied without making a trip to Thailand. Noodles we al dente and the wantans crispy but meat a bit dry. I also ordered fish cakes which were rather greasy and desiccated. Maybe I should stick to more wantans. And perhaps there is a reason why the crowds brave long queues at the borders during weekends. For legit white Wantan mee.

Thai Fried Pork 🐷 This was crispy and addictive. Another crowd favourite that we got was the Thai fish sausage, which we even ordered a second portion of 🤭

Not Your Average Foie Gras A dish I've had more times than my fingers can count, yet I never get sick of its explosive flavours. I highly recommend you try this pan-seared foie gras on pain de mie toast, caramelised banana compote, dark chocolate ganache and bacon jam. A wacky-sounding combination that works like a dream; you absolutely cannot miss this.

Duck Confit I have been to this restaurant for lunch and tried for dinner this time. Meat was a bit salty but the sauce was salted mildly so balancing as a whole. I liked the sides, grilled diced apple and peach, good addition of freshness.

Can we grow gardens on plates, please? Love the flavorful tuna taco with a cup of iced coffee, and more importantly, the ambience. Am just missing some company, that's all! #wewantsugar #seasonsbistro

Flat White A beautiful cup of flat white served. With the nice art on my cuppa, it made me feels happier. A nice chill out place about 5 to 8 minutes walk away from Farrer Park station. Will be back for more. 😊

Prawn Aglio Olio $18 This is very chill laid back cafe. The sofa seats looks so comfortable. Haha but they are probably popular and hard to get hold of. Wifi and power socket are available, but strangely the sockets I tried to use don't seem to be working, I will still give them the benefit of the doubt that it is probably spoilt. About this pasta, I have to say I am slightly disappointed. The pasta itself is okay BUT the prawns are seriously overcooked. Even though it has been partial deshelled in the mid section, while biting it, it still felt like there is a layer of shell outside =/ #burpple
