Good coffee, smooth and not acidic, with decent caffeinating power. The blend is by Sarnies.

Don't expect a matcha latte like how matcha specialty places do it, but for a quick fix this will definitely do. 30% sugar feels still too sweet for me.

Aside of their wonderfully done bagels, TMBH serves great Cold Brew too! The bottled caffeines are available in two variants, The Hare (black) and The Tortoise (white). It is creamy and smooth, slightly sweet as the proportion skews a little bit to the milk side, while the coffee base is solid and chocolate-y.

This is the ball type, unlike the cut-up kind that is (I?) commonly found elsewhere. The skin is crunchy and well-seasoned. The meat is tender, without any bits and pieces of tendon. Being shaped as huge balls might cause the dish being quite difficult to ensure the chicken is thoroughly cooked though.

This new stall opens early in the day and closes early too - as of today they close at 2:30pm. They sell bcm, fishball noodles and this special noodle that seems to be a crossover of both. The fishballs are springy and soft. Overall this bowl of noodle does not really taste artificial and is not overly salty, some may find this underseasoned but I think this is ok.

This corner stall has been seeing long queues and loyal customers over the years. The food is not exactly the healthiest - say moist bee hoon and noodle, fried stuffs, sunny side up and one type of vegetables. However affordability, comfort and fuss-free-ness keep the customers coming back. They used to run out of ingredients quite early but these days, I'll just take it that they prepare more to sell till later? The taste has not changed over the years too.

Dropped by this one-woman new gelato cart-turned-hole-in-the-wall-shop in Novena Regency (yep 'in' - so you need to go inside the building to find them). The gelato are priced $5 served in a cup and $5.50 in a cone, with additional 50cts for premium flavors. They put some hyped Basque Burnt Cheesecake on display as well but didn't try it.
As we can get two flavors in a cup, we got ourselves pistachio and chocolate hazelnut (front), and pistachio and black sesame (back). The gelato is smooth, each of the flavors were pronounced but light and not jelak. The place is quite aesthetic, yet small (4 tables, about 10 seaters) so need to be really considerate during peak hours.

Located at an end of Novena Regency, they serve Hokkaido mains and Japan-wide popular side dishes and drinks. The ramen was not overly creamy compared to Hakata-style ramen, it is still flavorful and the portion is quite large.

Had a chocolate milk tea with cream cheese [$4.50 for M size]. The chocolate is not very thick and heavy, can't taste any tea to be honest and the cream cheese is thin and sweet.

Kurobuta don with 2 sides (I chose aburi mentai tamagoyaki and mapo tofu) and a canned drink. The don was alright, rice was ok and pork was ok though nothing particularly special. A bit of miso soup mixed in might have helped. The sides are small but packed in flavor, I especially enjoyed the mapo tofu.

Had 1-for-1 wasabi mayo chicken don [$17.01] delivered by GrabFood and it is totally worth it! The chicken arrived still warm (it helps that the journey was quite a short distance), crispy and went so well with the wasabi mayo that is not overly spicy. There is also pickled salty vegetable at the side which balances the jelak-ness from the mayo and fried chicken really well.

What is going to a specialty coffee place without getting their specialty coffee? Though the IG page claims that they serve one from Kyoto, it turned out this time they serve coffee from a local roaster. It is definitely alright in terms of taste #supportlocal, just the discrepancy. However it is still a great hot black and nice aesthetic airy space to spend some time in the area!
