Tlayuda de la Casa ($29) 🌽 4/5 This might seem simple but it was quite delicious! The roasted corn provided me with pops of juicy sweetness and went well with the white cheese. I love it when something tastes as good as it looks.

Quesadilla Oaxaca ($26) 🌮 2.5/5 I thought going for the quesadilla is quite a safe choice but I was kind of miffed how small these were! Could also barely taste the chorizo and avocado.

Butternut Squash, Kale & White Cheddar Enchiladas ($28) 🌯 2/5 Hmm can't say I enjoyed this much. Maybe it's because I'm only just figuring out I don't like mole — it tasted like fake curry sauce, and the whole dish was drenched in it.

1 for 1 cocktails! 3 rose - was totally expecting a Bandung like drink but this was so much better! Not too sweet and just the right amount of floral notes Tequila and mango (forgot the name) - this was quite unique, it’s actually really sour and spicy, so was quite the surprise. But overall still quite yummy. With burpple beyond was very worth!

Mommy issues crepe “Sour and sweet, just like your relationship with mum” Haha that’s what the server told us 😂 hence the name of the crepe. This was actually super delicious. It taste a lot better than it looks. The fruits were fresh, the cream was just right, the dark chocolate and cocoa nibs really shines through, and the crepe was crispy and tasty! Was definitely a pleasant surprise! Will be back again to try their other crepes!

Completing my 🐓 row with this major throwback to @firewoodchicken ✨at east coast/Katong hood that serves Korean inspired bagels 🥯 where u can choose between plain and onion bagels and a menu of stuffed flavors✨it’s really huge for a single portion! Authentic to the more solid bite of bagel like the one I had in New York🤤 would wanna go back for the night menu firewood chicken 🪵 🔥 hehe.

Rice Balls This dish made me wish I was born into a Korean family, with a matronly ajumma preparing this as I got home from a stressful day at school, just so I can categorically claim this as my comfort food. Saranghae! 🤞🏻😘

Charcoal Grilled Chicken In Sweet And Spicy Sauce A rather unassuming Korean joint that exclusively serves chicken, save for a handful of sides. Chicken was expertly grilled and doused in a deliriously sweet and spicy sauce. Meat was spot-on tender; we couldn’t even tell the breasts apart! Comes w a few token tteokbokki pieces with a surprise cheese centre. Extremely satisfying. What can I say? This dish left me breathless. Chicken nut bread.

Burratina Orriechiete Delicious! Portions were good (not too large). I really appreciate their service staff. For this pasta 1-1, we also tried Carbona - it was very creamy and delicious, nice bacon. Easy to make reservations through Burrple/Chope.

Pizza Pancetta E Jalapeno $30++ My favourite pizza because I absolutely love anything with bacon and cheese! What’s even better was the white cream sauce they use instead of tomato sauce as the base sauce for the pizza, which gave the pizza the creamy and cheesy boost on top of the cheese toppings and made the whole pizza so flavourful with the bacon and the chewy pizza crust.

Oolong Osmanthus & Pistachio Ice Cream with Waffle 💬 Back again trying different ice cream flavours. The waffle was crispy and fluffy as usual. 👍🏻 Ice Cream flavours: • Oolong Osmanthus (left) - A unique choice of ice cream. But I personally prefer their Chrysanthemum ice cream over Osmanthus as it’s a much more farmilar taste to me. • Pistachio (right) - Every bite of ice cream was companied with the grounded pistachio and I can taste the hint of pistachio.

Morning Goodness. Something as simple yet as good, Morning Goodness + Mashed Avocado from Tianns Bakery. Their slices of Paleo bread are amazing, it’s soft, fragrant and nutty. They also whipped up a nasty good scrambled eggs, it’s well-seasoned, buttery and runny. & these combination goes really well together! Not forgetting that pretty good cuppa too.

kaya cake super moist dense cake with a strong kaya flavour and kaya spread on top, way too sweet but quite a nice treat, maybe eaten best with black coffee

Tiramisu Gelato Totally Swept Me Away This was really yums! Better than any tiramisu ice cream I have tried.. Best thing was lower sugar (or no refined sugar) and gluten free.

Not bad, reminiscent of a good laksa bowl! Dry Laksa ($18 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) - though the noodles were abit too soft, the sauce is thick and very flavourful, just like a good bowl of laksa. They gave 4 pretty huge prawns which were all plump and fresh! Not bad can try.

Pretty delicious Mentai Don! Salmon Mentai Don ($18 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) - mentaiko really can't go wrong and for this bowl they were pretty generous with the amount of sauce! As for the salmon pieces, it seems like it's lesser than that of Chirashi. I still love the rice in here! The onsen egg just pairs well with everything in here 😍

Chunky fresh pieces of sashimi, not bad Lecoq Chirashi ($16 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) - pretty generous with the sashimi ingredients, the sashimi pieces were fresh and chunky! I must say they gave alot of rice, but I ain't complaining because their rice were well seasoned and pretty darn addictive. Love the onsen egg as well, as it acts as a good medium to combine everything together!

Lunch set $17++ Had the sichuan pork noodles, fried pierogi and salted plum wolfberry pu-erh tea. The drink sounded interesting but wasn’t as tasty as I thought it will be. Sichuan pork noodles had the taste of the right spices. What stood out for me was the fried pierogi. It’s something not commonly found in SG, the mashed potato and bacon mixture just taste so good together with the slight crunchy dumpling skin. Place is small, abit dark and really noisy. Will recommend to go with just a friend. Not exactly a place for date.

Korean Black Soy Sesame Teacake ($9++) A Korean Western fusion dessert . Dense teacake adorned with black sesame and luscious soy butterscotch, showcasing a rich umami taste

Tteobokki Cheese ($23++) A Korean Western Fusion dish . Korean rice cake meets ham, bacon, and a generous layer of thick cheese sauce.

Korean Bulgogi Pizza ($29++) A Korean Western fusion pizza . Pizza topped with bulgogi-marinated beef, caramelized onions, sesame, and mushrooms.

Spiced Rum Lava Cake This dessert was a sweet surprise as I initially went there purely for the beer (love their tap IPA)! Upon cutting, the liquid chocolate just flows out beautifully. Cake is crispy toasted on the outside and moist on the inside. Chocolate is rich with the right sweetness. The brandied cherries and creme fraiche perfectly elevate the dessert. Spiced Rum Lava Cake ($13) Ratings: 🦖🦖🦖🦖

Kombucha Crush ($15) Interesting concoction - seasonal kombucha + fig brandy + citrus. Who would have expected that kombucha could taste so good with alcohol. The alcohol is not that strong, making it suitable for light drinkers. The drink is sour on the palate, which I personally find refreshing. Quaint bar environment with soft music, which is plus point for the overall drinking experience.
