Army Stew ($36++) On first glance it might look pretty unassuming and frankly a little small in portion, but boy was this baby super filling. Brimming with ingredients like ham, sausages, tofu, mushroom, onions and leek, this army stew was so generous in ingredients and the taste was so on point! 🤤🤤 Loved that the ramen noodles are done really QQ, and everything was just so on point - from the service, to the 4 simple side dishes, to the price point (50% with eatigo) - there’s really not much more to ask for. Definitely a place I’ll return for some good old comforting korean food 😋😋

Kimchi Jeon ($18++) This has got to be one of the best kimchi pancakes I’ve had in Singapore! 🤯🤯 The pancake is the perfect balance between being thick and doughy, yet maintaining that perfect thin crisp with every bite! 🤤🤤 Chocked full of ingredients, this pancake was really bursting with flavour and you really have to taste it to believe it! Korean food in Singapore is generally around the same standard, but this pancake is definitely a cut above the rest 😍😍 Amazing efficient service with 4 yummy simple side dishes and water provided, plus there’s eatigo 50% off which makes it ridiculously value for money! 👍🏻👍🏻

Our Super Sik Dak Galbi from the one month old Korean restaurant in Tanjong Pagar! Our first thoughts - this is a really huge pot. It is recommended for 3 to 4 people, but I would even say it may feed 5 to 6 people. You get free flow noodles, fish cakes and rice cakes here, so imagine the carbs which are piling. Towards the end, there is even a complimentary option to finish off with rice, seaweed and beansprouts where it transforms into a huge pot of fried rice. Just make sure you have enough appetite to finish this OTT (Read: Over the top) huge pot of Korean-goodness!

Golden Cicada & Frosted Cap They had a 1 for 1 promotion and these 2 are the Golden Cicada and Frosted cap oolong. Golden Cicada has a oolong roasted tea taste like most of what many reviews say. It is refreshing and good for washing down an oily or sweet meal. The frosted cap is slightly sweeter but both types of teas are healthy in taste and not overtly sweet which I prefer. If you are the type with a sweet tooth you might not enjoy it.

Bread Is Yummy! Tried their Oreo Chocolate Mystique and it is really yummy. Their teas aren't really my thing though. Will be going back to try for their other breads instead next time.

Healthier Yet Delicious Nasi Lemak Healthier version of nasi lemak but not compromising on the taste. Replacing the rice with quinoa, peanuts with almonds, fried egg with onsen egg etc. The quinoa has a nice coconut taste to it, and the chicken is tender yet flavorful with spices. Almonds are super crunchy. Each element in this dish complements each other very well. Chilli is slightly spicy for me but gives a very nice spicy kick to it. Lo-Cal Chicken Rice ($8) Unassuming but undoubtedly delicious! Even after leaving it in the fridge for 5 hours and then warming it up in the oven, the sous vide chicken was impossibly tender and juicy. The homemade chilli sauce was also a good blend of sweet and spicy. However, something that could be better would be to add more vegetables, as the shredded carrots and cucumber slices were quite measly.

Yup, it is one and the same and is still as dizzyingly aromatic and mouthwateringly good as when Chef Desmond Shen (@dzzfizz) served it back then. Here, you get to enjoy a generous serving of it with a nice large piece of crispy-skinned fish.

From The BRAND NEW MENU: An Amazing Kaya and Coffee Toast Dessert ($9.50) M E D I A T A S T I N G We were served only one dessert from the new menu at Curious Palette that Chef Desmond Shen (previously of #magicsquaresg and #odetterestaurant) helped to develop, but it hit a home run with everyone around the table. What a revelation the seemingly ordinary “Kaya and Coffee Toast” was. Sandwiched between the two pieces of bread was a fridge-cold, firm slab of coffee-flavoured butter and housemade kaya. The former was whipped so even though it’s meant to resemble the solid piece of butter you get in a properly done traditional kaya toast, there‘s an ice-cream-like quality. Its delightful coffee fragrance blended with the gula melaka-sweetened kaya in such a heavenly way too. Heightening the coffee element was a unique espresso shoyu sauce that was poured over the half-boiled egg when it was served. This was where we were to dip our kaya toast before chomping into it. Playful, creative and absolutely scrumptious, I foresee this dessert becoming a hugely popular item here.
